I bought a SOG hex bit accessory kit today and promptly encountered a problem described by other PowerLock owners.
The SOG 1/4" socket driver has a C-shaped spring which helps hold the accessory bit socket to the driver. The spring is not firmly connected to the driver and is easily lost as it flies off the tool. I found the spring inside my slipper after a long search.
Installing a short section of heat shrink tubing secures the spring to the driver better than relying on the spring tension alone. My PowerLock has a thin shim separating the socket driver from the adjacent tool, a bottle opener/medium flat blade screwdriver. The shim provides enough clearance so the heat shrink tubing does not interfere with the bottle opener or the scissors on the other side of the driver.
