Wow, that is seriously gorgeous! So expensive...
That site has a whole slew of gold plated models, too... I feel like if I carried one of those, I'd have to be a Bond villain or something. Some other interesting designs, though.

I am so close to buying it.
but for $240 I could have 3 std charges or 4 waves or 5 skeletools or 6 Sidekicks
You get the idea

That is pretty sweet indeed. Technically though, could it still classed as an ALX? It's not aluminum scaled any more. Obviously they leave the name the same so folks know what the tool loadout will be, but it seems a bit inaccurate.

Ha, ya now its a Leatherman TreeX.
I think anyone that has made wood scales for other tools should be able to knock them up on their own for the charge too. You've got that riveted plate to deal with, but that's the only hiccup. I still want to grab an ALX and do the 6061 scales in hard red anodize since I think it would look wicked, and since I run that color alot I can just throw it in the bucket along with the SAK scales.
PM me or email sakmodder [at] gmail . com if you are looking for custom SAK work.

This has got me thinking...
I maybe able to find a thin slice of Corian, the super durable counter top stuff and make a set of scales for a AL...
It looks the business for sure, would go great with a Spydey Sage 4:
