Nice L1.  Took mine out the other night on the Dike and was amazed at how far it
throws.  Not an awful lot of spill but throw is another thing. :)

Thanks. The L1 is not an EDC light for me--it's a bit to large and throwy, sort of like a mini search light.  I need to get an F04 beamshaper for it, and I think then I'll actually use it more.  I have to say that the optic Surefire is using on these certainly beats the old one.  It has much more spill and a nice round spot, vs. the old square one.

If anyone is considering a Surefire, you should take a look around at the L1.  It's being replaced by a new model this year, and some great deals can be found on the remaining stock.  I've seen them going for around the $65 mark on fleabay, brand new.

My most used lights; iTP SA2, Eagletac P10A, iTP A2 Stainless, LM Monarch 300 and Fenix L0D

My iTP A2 has become my 'go-to' light of the moment.  Hard to believe that it and the P10A take the same cell, it's just tiny.

Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Funny I just got my Deerelight drop-in not all that long ago and my 17670 batteries
arrived yesterday so I stuck them into my new C2 and it's just an amazing thrower
now.  Took it out to the Dike tonight and was very happy with the results.  :tu:

An old fashioned light perhaps, but the huge run time means it's still got it's place in the market IMO.  Good old Gerber Infinity Ultra.

I've heard quite a bit on the Gerber Infinity, I'll have to look it up and see what
it has going for it. :)

I've been working on some diffusers for my lights, and last night with the 2 hour
power outage, I was glad to have a few of them ready to go.  If you've never
tried this type of diffuser, you might be surprised at how well they work.  My GF
works in Pharmacy, so she grabbed me a bag of old pill bottles and such.  All you
need to do is find the circumference close to your light head, you might need to sand
it a bit to fit, soak off the labels, push on and your ready to go.  Even if your light
doesn't candle stand as some of mine won't I just put in a drinking glass and your
set. :)
