Ok heres mine. Its a custom 3p from fivemega courtesy of CPF and a triple xpg led. Super bright at 1100 lumens

Enjoy :D

Approx. 3,3 A from one CR123?
Actually I run a AWR16340. Output is 4.2 volts. It has a boost circuit in the board to bump it up a few hehe. Don't even ask how much I paid for this little beauty......too much. :D
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

My LED mini-mag with added terraLUX switch and Maglite pocket clip.  These may be comparatively low-tech by today's standards but I actually rather like it. :)

Nice line up of AAA choombak.    :tu:    :)
+1 - Very Nice! - Love AAA Lights because they are so easy to always have with you, and so easy to carry an extra cell.

Looking to add a DQG-II to my collection soon. There may be a small run of Makos again in the near future; if so I'll get one.  I'll be picking up the new Fenix E15 around the 20th or so when it is first released; really liking the look of that one.

Low tech, hi-tech, old skool, latest, greatest, blah blah blah.... :D  :D
More things, both superficial and very important, have been repaired, mended and made right from the glow of a Mag Instrument flashlight. I'll show respect where it is due. That's a great looking flashlight there. I'll bet it serves you well. Cool looking light too.
Yeah, you right...

My little collection, top --  2D Maglite -- bottom from left to right -- Solitaire -- 100mW Green Laser -- MiniMag -- LED Lenser L7 115 Lumens -- Victorinox LED, the Solitaire I use when we go stargazing anything brighter and the guys with their telescopes will give you get that "what the hell is wrong with you" look, the MiniMag and 2D is the wife's camping flaslights the L7 is my camping flashlight and the Vic LED just stays in the draw and the green laser well that's just for fun, watching that green saber like light at night is mesmerising.

Rest is not idleness,
and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day,
listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky,
is by no means a waste of time

I`ve got one of those Gareth and really like it. I have not used it much lately as it`s been in the glove box of my car. That switch you put on there looks interesting.   :tu:     :)

a switch really makes it a decent light IMO.  I did try it without a switch to start with but the twist to turn on, and then twist some more to focus was a bit of a PITA as far as I was concerned.

Worth noting that not all of the LED mini-maglites can take the after-market switches made, this review explains how to tell: http://www.led-resource.com/2010/01/maglite-led-flashlight-review-and-guide/

From review:

Quote
one with the flat tail cap (old), and one with the lanyard tail cap (current), similar to the regular 2AA Mini Maglite. The lanyard tail cap is preferable to the flat tail cap due to increased reliability, as well as compatibility with regular Mini Maglite tail caps (making aftermarket accessories such as “clickie” switches usable).

in other words if you have the older version without the lanyard point then apparently it won't take the alternative switches.

Here are a couple of lights that I could scare up from nearby:

From the left: Streamlight Stylus, Frankenlight Streamlight Stylus pro with Fenix LD01 head (Thanks Ringzero for the idea), Eagletac PN20a2 with Stylus Pro clip, Mini Maglite, Fenix L2D, Surefire LX2 Lumamax (newly aquired) , Unknown LED Lenser.

Missing is my 4Sevens PreonII Ti.

How do you like the Eagletac PN20a2?  I remember looking at them on-line and they seemed like a good light.

I like it. Mine does have an issue where the switch very occasionally plays up a bit, and the pocket clip broke off on it's own just sitting on my desk (hence the stylus clip), but I like the UI (twist head to switch from low to high, forward clickie switch for on/off), and it has more of a spot beam on it than the PreonII. I've dropped it more times than I care to admit, which could be the reason for the dodgy switch.

Just ordered a Streamlight Stylus Pro. I have never been one to carry a flashlight besides on a key chain but figured I would give this a try.

What sort of output/runtime do you expect from that.

rough guess, around 800lm, 1 and 3/4 hrs runtime.

I finished the torch and it's now with it's new owner.  He should be getting some new batts soon and then I be waiting for feedback from him.

No lathe required. Parts all from chaps on CPF. I had to hack the spring about a bit to get it right, and a bit of soldering required etc.

BTW I didn't sell it, it was gifted to someone on another forum.
