The 3p is from five mega and the tailcap is from oveready. The drop in is from Kerberos at CPF. Triple xpg love it! It's my favorite pocket rocket.

Anyone know of a decent pocket light, preferably a single 123a with a pocket clip, click switch on the end nothing fancy, just a on/off, with up around 180-200 lumens? Maybe a hr or more runtime.. No need for a fancy high$$ One that caught my eye is a TrustFire TR-803 Cree, 230 lumen led for just $12 only downfall is it doesn't have a clip, but it has a defensive bezel! JR

Yes, Sipik 68 clone. $7.50 from this retailer
 http://www.tomtop.com/7w-300lm-mini-cree-led-flashlight-torch-adjustable-focus-zoom-light-lamp.html

300 lumens output. Light is focusable. Has single click tailcap and can tailstand. Belt clip and runs on standard AA or 14500 lithium 3.7 (rechargeable) which I love because it is way more common then cr123a batteries.

LoL, i was looking at that one on Amazon, they even have that in a 400lm setup, the only thing that stopped me from that is that its that 14500? what ever that is, so i would have to buy a whole new setup of batteries, i mean if you can run just AA's off of it that would be fine but then you loose out on brightness, no? i have rechargeable AA's and 123a's for my lights so i dont have to keep buying new ones, id just would like to stay in that category, but if keep the same amount of light and output with just a AA that would pretty much fit it! although that lens kinda looks funny, lol  JR

Not a light expert, but I don't think there is any way you're going to get anything like 300-400 Lumen from a single AA.  TBH it's a tough call for a 14500 AFAIK and I'd always take a budget light's lumen claim with a grain of salt.

Thats why im asking around, cause i have no freaking clue, i have my one flashlight that has two-123a's and that hits only 215 lumens.. honestly if the single cell light would hit 100-125lm with good throw i would be happy! JR

100-140 lumen from a single AA is a realistic expectation I believe.  I've been having a quick look on Dealextreme for a light that might suit you, but I've not actually found anything that I'd recommend. :-\

Romisen??

http://www.focalprice.com/LF013B/Romisen_RCG2_Lumi_P4_Flashlight_Black.html
AA, single mode, 80lm though.
http://www.szromisen.com/zh-en/product_show.asp?bid=9&id=87

and single cr123A, pocket clip 150lm:
http://www.focalprice.com/LF010B/Romisen_RCC3_Lumi_P4_Clip_Flashlight_Black.html
I was thinking Romisen as well, but really couldn't come up with one with all the specific features.  Clip, 123's, single mode, tail switch, 180 or so lumen.

If the one below had a better clip, a single click on/off, or hi/med/low, high being err, 180-200lm, and kept a run time of a hr off of a 123a battery it would pretty much hit the nail right on the head! providing the $ was under $20?  JR

I think i found what ive been looking for, of course its cheep, but heres what it has..

its a rear clicky switch, 3mode hi,low, flash, has a tactical bezel, and of course a clip, not the best, but hey its cheap,, it clames to be 600lm, but we all know thats not even close. i read somewhere else 280, and 100% Brightness, 3.5hours; 50% Brightness, 6 hours; Flash,4.5Hours; Size(mm): 102(Length)*20(Body diameter)*20(Head diameter) even if its cut in half? 140lm for over 1 1/2hrs? that fits my boat, the only thing is, the battery. it will use AA's, but i dont know how bright its going to push since its also able to use 14500 3v? so does that cut the 140lm in half? any ideas?? let me know what you think,, JR

On a standard rechargeable you might get 140 Lumen out of it and somewhere around an hour for runtime.  Before you think that sounds like it's not enough, that would actually make it a pretty good light that would be more than bright enough for most tasks.

That's right a standard 1.2V (most rechargeable cells are 1.2V rather than 1.5V) will give you something around the 100-140 Lumen output.  The 14500 will give you 3.7V and a higher output but only in lights that are designed to use them otherwise the light will likely just go pop. :)

It says powered by either or, I aslo looked the led disk up and the rating of it says 3.75v max forward, and 5v max reverse, what ever that means.. JR

It means you can hook it up backwards without blowing it up . It won't function with reverse polarity.

Sorry mate.  As it happens I am actually curious about that light.  What's the model and how are you finding it?  I have to say I've never used a headlight with the battery pack on the back, is it comfortable? :)

erm....

It seems to be a well made little unit, the head band is about an inch wide and adjustable to fit so not comfort issues. If your wearing it for a long time then maybe the battery pack would dig in but i haven't noticed it. One on/off switch with a nice click as you turn it on seems to be good quality. The beam goes from floody to spot in an instant at a turn of the focus slider and you can vary light output from something like 2.7 lumens to 170 with the lever attached to the battery pack at the back though it does seem to make any difference in light levels after 2/3rds of a turn.

well it can light up my garden nicely!
