WOW, is this a normal, regular, average AA mini maglite ?! Because the AAA is .... really smaller, LOL! HM.
well, it's the AA Mini-Maglite LED and it has a slightly longer head than the original version, but basically yes. :D

Great, now I'm not a big fan of MagLite, but now this thing wants me to like it ... too bad for my wallet :D

Thanks guys. I've always thought so too. That's why I've hung onto it all these years. I really should carry it more. The light on my phone is what I normally use.

If you ever decide to retire it or find it a new home, send me a PM and maybe we can work something out. ;)

@Gareth

:woohoo: Glad you finally got it. :D

Great, now I want one. NOW. Gr. :D Can you .... confirm the specs are near to the stated ones ?! I mean... 260 lumens for 2 hours out of one AA... this is ... a lot in comparison to my favourite Fenix E11 which is... 115 lumens for less than 2hrs. And the price of this Sipik looks tempting...:D

Works 2 hours. LM? I don't know. Maybe ~150, perhaps less - it's zoom, so hard to say :P

I would think 260 lumen is possible from a 14500 (3.7V) cell but I don't think it is likely to be from a normal AA (1.2-1.5V).  Maba's guesstimate of somewhere in the region of 120-150 lumen is much, much more plausible. ;)

It's probably rated lumens and not out the front lumens. Also it's based on 100% efficiency and ins perfect world. I would bet that about 150 is correct :)
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

I'm actually amazed at the amount of light this cheap thing gives *crazy* My favourite Fenix E11 is 4 times more expensive and the Sipik seems to drown it... bot in spill and brightness. Of course, the Fenix may be tougher, more economical, more throw, more waterproof, more blah blah blah, but I'm indeed pleasantly surprised with the Sipik/whatever other names they have **crazy**

Here are my latest two lights;

A discontinued Victorinox 2xAAA (from our own Dr Gonzo) and a Ultrafire z2.  Both good lights in their own way. :tu:

Slap a 14500 in there.  The Sipik goes nuts with 3.7V batteries.

Uh, don't look at the emitter, though.  That wouldn't be good.

Wow, Gareth, why does this Ultrafire look a little weirdly shaped? I mean, what's that part sticking to the side after the clicky switch?

Ummmmmmmm..... I actually already sold the Sipik.... together with my Fenix E01, E25 and some other stuff..... to collect money for my new flashlight..which is this:

And honestly, the fault which I found with the Sipik was that it ate through batteries way too quickly in comparison to what I'm used to. But I still think it's a great flashlight for a great price. I just got that.. bug telling me to buy a LD12, didnt have the money and did a major... "cleaning around":D

That would be the LED and reflector "sticking out the side". :D The Ultafire z2 is a right-angled light like a lot of the Zebralights.
