I've been meaning to ask but have been forgetting to, how does the clip on that Streamlight hold up? The reverse side, that is.

If your asking about the ability to clip it onto a hat bill then it does work. No complaints from me. The real reason I wanted the Microstream was because my other streamlight Stylus pro's pocket clip always grabs the stitching on my shirt and gets caught which in turn pulls the stitching out every 10 minutes. The S shaped clip keeps this from happening.

It's a good clip and one of the selling points to me was the S-shaped clip which I can clip to a ball cap. It's much less cumbersome than a headlamp and works even better :tu:

Just a picture of some torches I have in a drawer, next to the bed. Most of these are used only occasionally. I though that considering I have the rooms/the outside areas and the cars full of torches (and never use a headlamp) and still have these in a drawer I may have a bit too many torches.

Yeah, I have an average of half a dozen flashlights on my night table, whan it gets cloe to ten, I take them back to the storage box but they keep coming back. :ahhh

BTW, just to clarify for our younger viewers, the one on the far left is also a flashlight.

I just ordered a few of these Pelican 1910's. It's slightly bigger than the Streamlight C4 but twice as bright. What I like most about it is the momentary clicky selection. It lets you select bright (default) or dim (secondary) before fully clicking the switch to keep the light on. Taking a single AAA battery, that's something I actually stock and use the most of around the house so I'll always be able to power it.

The pocket clip connects to the end cap and I don't think it's removable, not that that matters to me. It's a very light-weight light and for what it's worth, the clicky switch is quite sensitive as to possible allow momentary turning on of the light but not so much as to click itself permanently on.

Overall, I give this light 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. I only wish it had more modes...

Posted this in the other flashlight thread, but what the heck, ill post it here as well. Found this at a antique store for $5.00. I didn't even try and talk them down at all for the price. There was another one in bad shape that I passed on, but might go back and pick it up to do a LED upgrade on it and actually use it.

Nothing terribly fancy, but a bunch of various lights of various power and price (nothing more than about 30 bux). Quite a few of them from DealExtreme, but some from local shops.
Some of them put out a decent amount of light with XM-L T6, XR-E, XP-E emitters here and there.
Others lean more to modest output with longer run times the Black one behind the mini lights is a generic 3xAAA 1 Watt light with Hi, Lo and Strobe modes that runs $12 for a three pack. I have them stashed all over the place.
Other batteries include 18650, 14500/AA, 10440/AAA, CR123A/16340,
The minis are a Spotlight Speck, Streamlight Nano and LED Lenser K1 and K2. All very similar in the amount of light they put out and hang from keys or paired with Minichamp or Style CS. The Nano does duty as a zipper pull on my bike jacket.
Not pictured is a 3xDcell Maglite with LED conversion. Not exactly a searchlight, but it runs for about a week non stop.

I know I could spend as much as all these cost me on one flashlight, but these do the job and there's always one (or several) close at hand.

The first rule of flashlights is...  Have a flashlight.

There are still some of the ICON brand flashlights out there and although they're five plus years old LED technology, they can be found fairly cheap now, so I bought a few for their knot work potential...  :)

Here are some Surefires I've purchased over the years.I have other lights but they're scattered all over the property.

Thanks mates.

It seems odd but I don't look upon these as a collection,in the sense that I started out to create a collection of Surefires.I bought them one at a time when a newer model was introduced and it offered something more than the model before it.Or I bought a certain model because it fit a criteria for defense, compactness, dual lighting modes or some other logical reason. Before I knew it I had bought about 15 or more. All of the incan lamps have been updated over the years, when possible, with LED's.
