Today I am the proud owner of a
Cold Steel Master Tanto (brass)

Wanted one of these before the youngest was born. It pays to have a good friend that owns a knife shop.;)

Welcome to the club!

Yours appears to be in better shape than mine too.  Whether you like CS or not, you have to admit this is a beautiful knife.  This is my second- the first one was stolen years ago, and I couldn't wait to replace it.

Is that the Tanto  or the CS club?  I have been a member of the CS club since 1992 with my first Master Hunter.;)

What's funny though was in Grant's pic was what I had before I traded it and a Swiss for it.

Can anyone here tell me does the kydex sheath work with the old style brass?

I have a custom made kydex shoulder rig for it. No surprise that it fits beautifully.

One of these days I am going to get a Magnum Tanto XXII with the oval tsuba and 12 inch blade.  I know it is waaaaayyy over the top but most people miss the appeal of it.... and that appeal is that it's waaaaaayyyy over the top!

Was that the one Benner had, or am I thinking of something completely different?

Even I, and I'm no fan of Japanese influenced knives, have to admit the Cold Steel is a good looking knife. :tu:

So what was the nice Cold Steel one that Ben had?  A Trailmaster perhaps?

Yes, I believe it was a Trailmaster, and almost as big as he was I think! :D

It was a Trailmaster (my memory is not totally failing thank goodness).

Lovely knives mate.  :)

I am really fond of Cold Steel and have a few of their blades now. I also have a Trailmaster (Carbon V steel with brass guard) and it is just superb.  :tu:

The tanto really appeals to me as well.  Ideally I'd like the older San Mai version again with the brass guard.  Defender has that very knife and it sure is pretty.
