Thanks to Travis I've got a PT-510 on it's way to me now, so I can do a tools swap and enjoy covered gears! :D  Then what to do with the old hurty one though eh?

Save the plier jaws from the original SOG version in case you need or want to swap later.

I suppose you could cut the old handles apart from each other and fill them with SOG implements
which you don't have installed in your new PT-510/PPP to increase the variety of tools you carry. They would form a sort of single handle tool.

Do after my mishap with my crosscut (out of stock) I
went a complete 180 and got a powerlock.  Man is it nice just for first impressions, I haven't had time to really check it out but I'm loving the compound leverage mechanism. Ill post a few pictures laters when I get home.

I have to say I am loving it:)). The awl on this thing is one of the best I have come across nice sturdy and sharp. As for swapping out tools I'll probably get the straight edge blade and scissors, in place of the  v-cutter and combo blade.

I took this from parnass' post and put a little piece of 1/4" heat shrink tubing and wrapped it around the driver.

Cool.  Glad you found the mod worth the effort.

Yeah it only took a second, and will probably save me hours of frustration later when I'm  trying to find that tiny spring.
