I am looking at possibly getting a new folder in the smaller department. I love the Delica and its size. I was wondering if anyone had some size comparisons of the Delica with a Dragonfly and possibly a Ladybug. Thanks.

I don't have a Delica, but the UKPK is about the same size as the Delica.

Thanks for the photo. How do you like your Dragonfly?

It's a lot of knife for it's size, one of my favorite folders next to the Case Sodbuster. The FRN version is truly a lightweight, you won't notice you have it in your pocket. It bit me 2 minutes out of the box, :ahhh at first attempt of closing it ... it comes very sharp as all Spydies do. The only bad thing I can say about it is the position of the pocketclip. I like that it is a wireclip but they positioned it so that a lot of handle sticks out of the pocket. The pocketclip on the picture is actually screwed into the lanyard hole but now I carry it loose in the pocket without the clip.

The Dragonfly looks sweet and has been on my want list for a while now. FFG and index finger groove FTW.

The Dragonfly 2 is a great little knife... very capable despite its diminutive stature.  I got one last fall and really liked it.  The FRN one is the lightest of the bunch, something like 1.25 oz.  It has no liners in it though, which is how they got it so light.  I never noticed any issue with it strength-wise though, so I think it's a non-issue.  They also make a ZDP one, a stainless one, an H1 version, and one with G10 scales as well.  (Personally, I'd love to see the ZDP blade in the G10 scales.)

As great a little knife as it is, I gave it to my wife for her backpacking gear, as I found that for my personal needs, a SAK does all the same things, but with a lot more functionality.  I guess that means I don't need to do any heavy duty cutting on a day to day basis; but when I do, I've got larger folders for such work.

Regardless, the DF2 is an awesome little knife.  It should stand up well to all but the heaviest cutting tasks.  It makes a great little neck knife too; just take the clip off and put it on a lanyard.

The Dragonfly 2 is the biggest small knife I own. Meaning, it's small in size, very light, but when you grasp it, you feel as if you are holding a real tool, not a small knife. I like it a lot, I got the full serrated version in H1, super lightweight yet doesn't feel like a joke off the gas station counter.

I've never had a knife of H1, but I've heard that while it really is totally rust proof, it's fairly soft.  Maybe getting one of the serrated ones would give you more life on the edge, but in turn, you'd have a stickier sharpening job to do when it needed it.

The yellow scales of the H1's are pretty cool I think... That would be pretty sweet though, a ZDP blade with the yellow scales... maybe it'd make a great little survival neck knife!
