I went for the “silver” one because; (1) I like the silver and black contrast, and (2) the silver one is becoming more rare now, not a lot of places have the silver one anymore, and those who do carve a premium for it, and I wanted mine to be as special to me as possible, so I got it engraved as well.

Out of curiosity, apart from a nylon sheath, is there really no leather sheaths from leatherman that fits an OHT?

I really can't find any...



I found a few places that would custom make them, but they are quite expensive IMO

I have been on to a guy locally here in ireland about having one custom made too, but before I receive my I can't send him measurements.




I am not a fan of leathermans molle sheath, I have one for my charge that I use for hiking, It fits my molle pack nicely, but I wouldn't want to carry it on my belt for EDC usage.

The OHT will fit into the LM leather sheath that I use for my Surge.

That said I tend to wear through LM leather or nylon sheaths quickly. Unless they are the old school ones.

If you are going custom then I can recommend one made by Gohard. Been using mine for a couple years now and it's still going strong.

you could also find a Gerber/SOG/Schrade sheath that fits it, they are tough and big enough in many models  :salute:

Yeah, to my understanding Leathermans own leather sheaths wear through the elastic bands on the quickly if you put an OHT in one. Reason being the sliding mechanism on the sides of the OHT cuts into the elastic bands.

From what I can find: all the large Gerber and SOG sheaths are nylon?

I’m looking for leather sheaths

Do you know which models of Gerber/SOG/Schrade sheaths the OHT fits in? ...maybe that can expand my search a bit

From what I can gather from different online reviews, it seems like most reviewers are not too happy about the included Molle sheath.

I’ll have to judge by myself once I receive my OHT, hopefully some time next week....or since it’s shipped with DPD; it will arrive sometime next year, and they will have tried to deliver it to my door 3 times (in the same day) without calling me once, so now I have to drive 2 hours to their “collection point”.

Anyway; the molle sheath I bought for my charge, was bought specifically for the Charge TTI  and even said on the packaging that it would fit the Charge TTI, but it is waaay too tall and it feels like it would fall out of it if I somehow ended up upside down, plus the “pocket” for the bit set is extremely awkwardly located in the front of it, which makes the front of the sheath hard when carrying the bit set, so the the sheath can’t close around the Charge tti properly.

So not the best design IMO.

But again; I’ll judge the included molle sheath once I receive my OHT, but I don’t have the highest expectations for it.
