How do you carry your Swiss Army Knife while out? In a belt sheath, in the pocket, on a lanyard, in a bag, on a hanger, etc.

I love scratches!

Me too! Although I like to be the one that put's them there  ;)

That's when you know your stuff has been a worthwhile purchase, when it's scratched tarnished, shows signs of carry, use and sharpening, and is still in your pocket as part of your life, doing what it was meant to do :) It's one of the things that's been helping me set aside stuff for getting rid of.

In the week / at work use an ultrfire torch sheath - love these things - can squeeze a sak CT 34 in - just !  Though normally carry a super tinker. If colour them in with a black magic marker look a bit more discrete as well.
At the weekend or if I'm going out I'll have a climber in my pocket held in with a P7 suspension clip.

I haven't found a more convenient method than this, a Munroe Ti Dangler.  It has a mcgizmo gate clip on it, so I can just snap it on the lanyard ring of whatever SAK I want to carry.

It all depends.  58 and 74mm go on my keys, 84 and 85mm goes in my pocket, 91mm of three layers or less goes in my pocket as well, 91mm of four or more layers go in a belt sheath.  Unless they have a pocket dangler, in which case they go in my pocket.  Clear? :D

My Alox Cadet is in my right jeans pocket, or right cargo pocket, or the left inner pocket of a suit, >25 years.
The first Swiss Champ (with no pliers) was in my pocket untill I lost it (it was accumulating a lot of fluff). The second one was in a big tobacco bag I had for my pipes, untill it was stolen. The third one (sice 1997) is in the black leather seath and the sheath was on the right side of my belt for a couple of years, until I started wearing my mobile phone in that place. Then I EDCed it in my work bag, leisure bag or travel bag (all three from Victorinox). Some days ago an XLT with it's seath took its (same) place.
When I work a lot with the big one (eg fixing the bikes), I put it in my pocket, with a clip or a lanyard connecting it with my belt or beltloop.
So, small one in the pants, big one in the bag.

Right front pocket, clipped on belt loop.

Top SAK is how I used to carry SAKs until about a week ago (using couplers), bottom SAK is how I carry SAKs now that I modded some generic clips to be "quick release".

Left clip is a modded-to-be-quick-release clip, right clip is untouched. Unclipping speed difference is like day vs night.

My Executive lives on my keys, attached via carabiner.  Whichever larger SAK I'm carrying goes in my pocket, attached to a lanyard attached to my belt for easy access.  My pockets are usually stuffed, and the lanyard makes digging my knife out much easier when needed.  :tu:  As a bonus, they're easy to make, as I've just discovered over the past week or so!  :)

I usually carry small SAKs in my pocket; like my Executive or my Compact.  I typically carry them loose in my pocket with a Photon Micro attached via an S-biner.

Right now, I don't actually have any SAK that's between a Compact and a Swiss Champ in size.  After my Exec and Compact, my most carried SAK is my CT Lite, and I use a nylon belt pouch for it.  For any of my 111's, I belt carry them, or keep them on the strap of a pack or my EDC bag.

Keyring for the Rambler.....front pocket for the Tourist if I am carrying it. If I needed to I have a P7 I could hang the Tourist from but I haven't needed to yet. Tinker is in my desk at work.

Same here.  Well, except for the classic that stays on the key chain.

Short Answer: in my right front pocket. (90% of the time)
More Accurate Answer: Sometimes, it depends. (10% of the time)

During the week, at my office job, it is usually a Rambler, Small Tinker, or Executive. (Rambler is best)

On weekends, I'll go up a size to a Wenger EvoGrip S16 or Vic Explorer or SuperTinker.

If I feel I'm more likely to need tools, I choose an even thicker one, such as the WorkChamp or CyberTool 34, and carry it properly in a belt sheath.

Since I have so many darn SAKS now, I'm starting to leave them in strategic places.  The CyberTool 34 is in my desk drawer at work. The SuperTinker is in the tiny little console compartment to the left of the steering wheel in my car. I forgot which one is on the end table by the couch where I sit when watching TV. (not often any more) One's on my nightstand, and probably 10 are in the drawer of my nightstand.

I got tired of having to stop what I was doing to lend my wife my SAK, so I got her a Tomo, which lives on her keys. (I don't particularly like that knife, but it really does take the abuse of keychain duty better than any cellidor or alox-handled SAK)

Yep.  Exactly what I do.  I have at least one that lives permanently in my adventure pack, my hiking hydration pack, and in my EDC bag, and so on.  Then there's a few that I keep in the top drawer near my bed that I guess could properly be called my "EDC rotation", though my CT Lite is the one I seem to have settled on for regular daily carry.

Always in the watch pocket of my jeans. If I am not wearing jeans then it goes loose into right front pocket with nothing else. The Classic stays on the keychain though on a removable clip.

+B Yeoman in my right front pocket usually with nothing else. If I am carrying my off duty gun then it moves to my left. I also rotate in my Urban Pioneer and Camper depending on the attire of the day.

Right front pocket by itself.  I don't mind scratches from pockets, but I won't tolerate scratches from keys, coins, etc.  I also keep a Classic on keychain, and a Spartan and SwissTool in my backpack.

Bumping an old topic.

I’ve carried a knife for decades, always by itself in my right front pocket.  The annoying down side to this style of carry is the constant tendency of the knife to fall over horizontally.  I tried everything including pocket slips and sheath carry but nothing is as good, or convenient, as knife in pocket.  My most recent multi year EDC, prior to full time SAK, was a large and heavy German made folding hunter.  The weight and size of this knife put me into overdrive trying to find a pocket carry solution.

Pictured below, This simple stitched line takes about ten minutes with needle and thread.  It works as well with dress pants as it does with jeans.  It also frees up the rest of the pocket for more stuff, and it works great for Alox knives.

I just pocket carry any 2-4 layer SAK and it seems to work fine :tu:

The stitching is a great idea though :tu:  :like:

I've got a small leather slip that can house a SAK up to 4 layers.

I pinched a metal ring in it and attached a suspension clip.

I can easily take the SAK out when there's a lanyard attached to the SAK. Otherwise I can just take out the small slip.

The best thing is that even SAKs without keyring are now upright in my pockets.

How I carry depends on what SAK I am going to be carrying...but usually in front pants pocket, or cargo pocket or on my belt in a sheath.

Keyring for the Rambler, pouch for anything bigger.
