Depends on the tool.

My craftsman is carried in the Fob pocket of my jeans.

I carry another smaller Victornox and Leatherman in my shoulder bag.

At work I carry my Herc on my belt with a torch in an old mobile phone pouch which just happens to fit these two in perfectly.
Its a good leather pouch, very sturdy and comfortable.....see pics

When at home its in what ever pocket is available.

just as long as one is available at all times.

Depends on the SAK. Back pocket for the small ones, and sheath for the larger ones.

Wow, I’d say an old topic,
For an sak I was always a sheath, but that was also because the only one I had was a 7layer, besides a keychain, as for other knives it was always a pocket clip, so when I got into alox I kinda did a little something, I put pocket clips on the alox, that’s my edc, yet another little thing I made was a paracord lanyard, totally adjustable cause you know how one pair of pants has high pockets then another has lower ones.

Yeah,  I was going to start a new one but figured this had to have been discussed before.  Cool pics by the way.

Nope, just a regular production, problably their best slipjoint IMO, but now discontinued:

I carry my Manager in a sheath on my keychain.  My Deluxe Tinker gets carried in my pocket looped onto the D ring on my pants.  My Salesman gets carried in a sheath along with its partner the Squirt.  My Explorer rides in a Skinth.  At home I carry my SI in a sheath on my belt.  Pics later.

Bumping an old topic.

I’ve carried a knife for decades, always by itself in my right front pocket.  The annoying down side to this style of carry is the constant tendency of the knife to fall over horizontally.  I tried everything including pocket slips and sheath carry but nothing is as good, or convenient, as knife in pocket.  My most recent multi year EDC, prior to full time SAK, was a large and heavy German made folding hunter.  The weight and size of this knife put me into overdrive trying to find a pocket carry solution.

Pictured below, This simple stitched line takes about ten minutes with needle and thread.  It works as well with dress pants as it does with jeans.  It also frees up the rest of the pocket for more stuff, and it works great for Alox knives.

Genius! I’m going to give it a try!

Oh, it's an old story... My grandma had this OLD encyclopedia and I liked to read, well everything...

Anyways, in the encyclopedia, there was a part of alphabets, one of which was hebrew alphabet, and for some reason I took the liking of letter Aleph  :)

Years later, I started using Aleph as a Screen name in the world of teh Interwebz...

Cool! My name in Hebrew starts with the next letter but that's less exciting to me as I write in Hebrew all day in work, albeit with atrocious spelling. :D

I do the opposite of most people: keys dangle, SAK sits in the bottom of the pocket.

I've got a small leather slip that can house a SAK up to 4 layers.

I pinched a metal ring in it and attached a suspension clip.

I can easily take the SAK out when there's a lanyard attached to the SAK. Otherwise I can just take out the small slip.

The best thing is that even SAKs without keyring are now upright in my pockets.

That’s a clever carry option...one to file.  :like:

I carry my SwissChamp on a Vic belt clip, dangling in my right front pocket. My MiniChamp is on a dogtag chain along with Lunintop tool AA  flashlight, around my neck. My large Buck Vantage is in my left front pocket on the factory clip. This carry almost never changes & has been my EDC for several months & is not likely to change anytime soon. It just fits my lifestyle. :hatsoff:
