I'm assuming it will be similar to the carbon sheet they use for TRex helicopter frames. that stuff is tough as all hell, so should cope with it easy enough. If not I could always bond in some brass bushes.
Sounds like a very neat idea; maybe it could be used for the liner as well?
That looks very nice! Glad to hear the CF is up to the task. Are there backspring tools? Just curious why there is the 4th pin on a Cadet
