Your Multiples?
on: October 05, 2012, 10:03:25 AM
Going through my bags and such, I found that I have more SAKs than I realized...
Six Victorinox Campers. Two with the camping logo.
Eight ISC Orions.
Five Victorinox Huntsmans.

How many multiples do you have? If you're a seller, then obviously only count the ones that are yours, not inventory. Photos are welcome  :)
This is gonna hurt...

I am sure, like me, most people buying SAKs on ebay will have several Classics, as they seem to be included with every used SAK you buy.

I haven't checked in a while but I know I have multiple Classics, Alox Soldiers, Mini Champs, Spartans, Tinkers,  and Super Tinkers.

If you mean multiples of the same model in same color, I have none, but I have 3 compacts in diff colors, and 5 pioneers in diff colors.  I also have 6 alox bantams all silver, but that's because they discontinued them so I bought up the last ones I could from Tim.  I have 4 deluxe tinkers too, but I bought those for mod donors so I wont count those.

Same here. Duplicate model? Yes. But models change tool designs/scales/etc. Duplicate knives with the same exact set of tools? Not many, and I trade away ones that are exactly the same. Most models I have several versions of, but Huntmans and Champions seem to be the most popular:

28 Huntsmans (1909-present)
26 Champions (1951-present)

Wow... that Soldier collection is nice.

As for me...

None. No Duplicates.

I have:
1 OH Trekker
1 Tinker
1 Rambler
1 Farmer (on the way)

That's it. I feel inferior.

One of the SAKs on your list Lynn was actually the last multiple I had, your Tinker.  :)  After that went you way, everything in the collection is a single example of different models.

Jaydar, you do not have a problem. Other than maybe a lighter wallet. :)

Multiples... because I buy lots, I have a number Climbers and Huntsmen of recent and unnoteworthy vintage, several Tinkers, and a few Compacts. I also have a couple of PSTs and Supertools, which have all been paired with a Huntsman or Climber respectively and get put places like the truck, my tool kit, my range bag, my BoB...
