Greetings everyone. My bad habit is "issued" alox soldiers. During my collecting time, I have been lucky enough to end up with some Swiss Army Dog Tags. The Swiss soldiers call them "grave stones" (Grabsteins). I have not been able to spend the time to do any research on these tags.
I am asking you, the MultiTool members, to look and see if your last name matches any of the last names I have in my collection. I would love to be able to send one to you. The worst part is you will have to look for a S.A.K. that matches the dog tag. Remember, If you add 19 years to the birth year on the dog tag, that would be the year of the knife you would be looking for. . In Switzerland, when you turn 19, you are in the Army. All of these last names are from the first 1/2 of the 20th century. ----> (Ghielmetti), (Gisler), (Koch), (Rutz), (Schacher), (Huser) and (Kern) <------ Please drop me a note if you last name matches. You might never know where this thread ends up. Rick
Thanks for the correction. You can guess I never an A in English
