Very close indeed!  :D Ben, considering you carry a Supertool or a Swisstool than I think you would LOVE the SURGE! It has everything most manufacturers leave out!

Thanks for the welcomes.     I can't believe I'm just now finding this place.

For those who only own one tool (I know, crazy people, who can own only one?) I think the Surge is the best do-all tool out there.

The Surge sure does get a lot of love around here.  I recently bought a Charge TTi after looking at all of Leatherman's line and the others, I forget what was the deciding factor for me but I liked the Surge too.  The only thing the Charge TTi doesn't have is the awl (on my SAK so no biggy) outside of the the scissors are bigger on the Surge but so what, if I need scissors I'll get a real pair of scissors.  Actually now that I think about it, it was probably just that with the Charge TTi, it has everything except the awl plus it's smaller, lighter and has the cutting hook plus S30V steel on the plain edge. :D

I am loving the Charge TTi but do think the Surge is sexy as well and the more read about the love here for it the more it makes me want it just for the heck of it. :)
