low battery auto step down (AA and 14500)
1x 14500: Max 500lm (1min)
1x Eneloop AA: Max 280lm/0.9hrs, Low 0.01lm/3months
recessed electronic switch
battery indicator
weight: 1.36oz (~38.6g)
length: 3in (~76mm)
bezel diameter: 0.93in (~23.6mm)

Members interested in ordering an SC 52 or any other ZebraLight are welcome to PM with questions.

I think I may have to give this one a shot.

I'm not sure if it looks good or not, but it looks interesting.

280 does seem a bit out of the park for a AA, but Zebralight don't usually go around making stuff up.

indeed.  From many other brands you'd have to be sceptical about those claims, but Zebra do seem to have the reputation to back it up. :tu:

I've been EDCing an SC51 for some time now.  I use Energizer Lithiums in it and it is incredibly bright for a single AA light.  My contact at ZebraLight told me about the SC52 release a couple of weeks ago.  He seemed pretty stoked about it.

They seem to be making strides to be more competitive at ZebraLight.  In additon to the new light, they will be adding ZebraLight branded batteries to their accessory line.  In my opinion, that will shore up a little weakness in their 18650 line of lights and will make them a one stop shop for those wanting to run Eneloops or 14500 batteries.  I like idea of receiving a new tool or light, being able open the package and put it to work immediately.   I suspect others agree and that should be good for ZebraLight.  Now, if they would only come out with a line of belt sheaths for their SC lights. . .

As of right now, a headlamp version will not be available.  I haven't heard anything, but I suspect it won't be too far behind.

This may be the one that finally supplants my sc50w+ (once they release the "w" version).  I love the no PWM feature.

I'm another Zebralight enthusiast.

I really like their user interface - I can get the level of illumination I want, and quickly.  The strobe is hidden away unless you want it, which is how I prefer it.  I'm awaiting some tests/reviews on the SC52 with considerable interest.

I've never tried a Zebralight, but I may give this a whirl if I have any spare cash floating about

I'm a big Zebralight fan... I got Robert hooked on them in fact!

I currently have three of them; H51Fw, H51Fr, and an SC60w, which lives in my EDC messenger bag.  I had an SC50w+ but traded it to Steve for a SAK mod.  That little light went everywhere with me for about a year and a half; to the top of Yosemite Falls, Death Valley, Lava Beds National Monument, and Joshua Tree, among others.  I still miss that little guy!

I'd love to get an SC600w, and will eventually, to be my pocket-rocket bag light.  However, I need another headlamp first, and I'm planning on getting an H502d.

I've also been researching the new 52, and have put it on my list.

Travis, do you have any info on whether they'll be doing neutral or HCRI version?  Oh, and do you have, or can you get the H502d?  If so, let me know, and I'll get mine from you.  Still have to save up my pennies though.

Heinz, in the thread over at CPF it was mentioned the warm version would be available at the end of November, I think.

EDIT: This is the post.  No idea of how "real" it is.

I'm ordering a 502D from Travis this weekend.  After I get it, I'll put it through some paces, and compare it to my H51w and my Spark ST5-190nw and do a review.

My H502d arrived recently.  Until I got it I wasn't much of a high CRI fan (I think I didn't like the  warm tints of the ones I had), however I do like this one, and it does make reds and browns "pop' a bit  :tu:, makes my cool white H502 seem a bit flat by comparison (but the CW H502 is definitely brighter on max).
