100+ and growing
on: March 07, 2008, 11:44:19 AM
Here is one of my new ones. It's bulky, uses a weird battery and is dim. I love it. :D

I hope it's rechargeable!  I doubt even Radio Shack has batteries for that thing! :D

It's not rechargeable. Not to worry though, I ordered 1 extra battery and somehow 10 actually got ordered! The big problem with that is the 2002 date that is on every one. :(

Check this out, maybe you don't have it and you will like it, besides the price is good and uses D Batteries:

If you could retrofit a decent LED into one of those you'd have a cool area light that lasted forever!

I've seen plenty of those flat batteries in outdoor stores, some petzel headlights use it. But basically it's three cylindrical alkaline cells inside (not AA, a tad bigger). The bulb is a twist base thou, haven't seen any LED drop in with it yet.

I like it and what a great price. I've bought a few things from Cheaper than Dirt before. Their quality can be questionable at times but the stuff is worth the price.

Here is another strange one from Deutsche Optik. They used to sell a two filter model like I have but without the blackout filter, but I don't see it on their site anymore.

Yes, I am going to take some pics. I need to gather them up and that could take some time. Just doing my razor knife and tape measure collections were hard enough and my flashlight collection dwarfs them! :ahhh

How the pics are going?

Slow, real slow. I've been working 60+ hours a week for months now and it's tough to get stuff done.

I did make a quick count of the flashlights I have at work and found 39. I have many more than that at home. I'll try and do the pics this weekend.
