This was a gift from a very generous member here- I won't embarrass him/her by saying who he/she is, but I would like him/her to know that I appreciate it very much!  So much that I had to share it with everyone here- so for all of those out there who thought I was a bit dim, here's proof that Defender is actually pretty bright!



I am really digging this little light.  It's got pretty well everything I like in a light- it's adjustable, it's bright, tail switch and most importantly, powered by a AA battery.



Perhaps knowing how hard I am on things this very generous member also included some extra parts just in case!



This little light has already gone into my EDC gear.  I still have the Photo Proton in my vest but this one is hanging around my neck with my ID tag and Raker Ring Tool for those times when I don't have my vest on.

Thanks again buddy- this is an awesome little light!

Yup, I'm pretty pleased with it.  My boss tried to steal it today!  He didn't get far....

NDI's are excellent lights... that's quite a score.   :tu:

IIRC, those old NiteCores are easy to mod, so you might want to talk to one of the modders over on CPF and see if they can put something like an HCRI Nichia 219 into it for you, or perhaps an HCRI XPG if you want to try a warmer tint.  You'll get even more output and a much nicer looking beam that will show colors much better.
