Hmmm, I know they do a camoflage version of the Pro Scout. Never seen a black oxide version though

I hate the weeks wait.
You'll like the DET BO one roadie. I got mine cheap too because someone didn't know what it was You'll be surprised how the strange shaped plier head is actually still fine for most Everyday stuff a 'normal' plier head would do. You can see some pics of the DET here http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,3658.0.html from when I swapped the bits around. My favourite tool is the Spike though (not that I stab or a do anything with it, it just looks so cool )
Well i've managed to get hold of the DET version of the MP600 for a fairly reasonable price Now to just wait for the inevitable slow post from the USA

I saw one priced rather cheaply on eBay recently. But then later when i remembered you were looking for one, I couldn't find it again.
$55 , bargain mate
Quote from: micky d on April 01, 2008, 02:32:45 PM$55 , bargain mate I thought so too!I just need to plan how i'm going to swap tools between the DET model, the standard MP600 and the MP400. All are BO and i want one to be legal EDC so no blades in that one. This is gonna take a bit of thinking about me thinks
Maybe you need another couple of MP just to experiment on
Make sure you take lots of pictures of your frankenstein tool when its all apart. I like those train wreck multitool shots!
Top job fella, why not sell the extra bit's to fund the next project
Why not fabricate a couple of brass liners and some backsprings, a couple of wood scales, and build a sak of sort's

Awesome work Roadie, congrats on a job well done! A coupla thoughts;Did you leave the EOD plier head on the 600 tool? How about leaving the small flathead off the 600 and putting the C4 spike back in? (not that the spike is useful or anything...it just looks cool!)
