The Victorinox 74mm thread

They are 75 mm models with corkscrew, very old, indeed. One with the old tang stamp, victoria inoxyd from 1923.

They are not on sakwiki, but they are printed in the catalog from 1942 on page 35, given the number 73.

@Reinier: the 14k model is not for sale. Over many years, I didn`t even know that I have this special knife. I once bought it by accident.

Btw the corkscrew on your no. 73 looks more like a 53. Does anyone know the size of no. 50, 52 and 53? Are those 68mm?

Just out of general interest how many of the 1942 catalog do you think we have on the forum it might be fun to recreate it

On the first page I have

200 Bog standard soldier cant read the numbers on the rest but the 3rd 4th 5th and 7th

on the Pen knife page I have

204 with the same scale stamps
205 with the same scale stamps

it would be great to get a sharper scan of the catalog though

Does anyone know the size of no. 50, 52 and 53? Are those 68mm?

I looked at a newer catalog from the 1960s and determined that the 7x series was 84mm and the 5x series was 75mm based on their proportions with the other knives on the same page. I have a 68mm Accountant that I've since sold, but never knew the model number for it.

I don`t have a Nr 622, but a Nr 621. Its a simple and cheap way to make scales. Its just a plate that you bend. You don`t see the backspring.

I add added this older 74mm Victorinox/WM Sterling model to my collection since it matches my 58mm model I posted earlier in the thread for comparision with ColoSwiss's 74mm model.  I'll try to get a closeup of the hallmarks for dating.

I recently jumped on the 74mm boat.
Unfortunately, the Alox Executives are really hard to come by, so I made one myself from a Cellidor one and a MoneyClip.

I finally got a very nice (new) condition Buffalo Horn Executive.. my 74mm collection is almost complete.

Update: looks like I already had the Buffalo Horn Executive, but my other one does not have a keyring.  I guess I never took pictures of that one for some reason, probably got lost in the shuffle.  Or I just have not found the pictures yet.

My latest Executive, but whats interesting about this one is that the stamp is horizontal with the blade,I have only seen this on the 58mm blades and not on the 74mm blades.

I think this is a 622 mold, I bought it around 3 years ago.

What is the length of 621 mold? that's a very unique one.
