Lenser T7 Alternative - any suggestions??
on: December 02, 2012, 01:00:50 AM
Whilst I'm not (yet) a flashlight collector - I do seem to have aquired several over the past few years. All remain dormant throughout the summer, then winter arrives out of nowhere and suddenly I'm wanting super brightness.

I've got 3 Bosch 10.8v LED's (possibly called Colt in the US)
Lenser T7 (200 lumen model)
Lenser P3
No Brand from amazon (300 lumen??)

Is there anything out, that whilst roughy the same size as the T7 and still using the common AA cells is superior in every way - Both in brightness, efficiency, durability etc etc.
I really don't care for how the T7 has to be switched through both power modes, I'm also not too keen that it doesn't stand vertical.

Any suggestions??

Tosh

I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

Well I'll chime in for Heinz here. Zebra light makes some good ones as well as fenix.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Cheers Steve.

Never heard of Zebra but Fenix seems to be the main rival for lenser here in the UK - youtube comparisons.
I'm guessing the difference between Fenix and Lenser comes down more to personal choice than actual outright performance.
I'll google Zebra and see what's there.

For the record, I seem to be using the Bosch's more than anything - simple switch on, full power mode only and batteries recharge to 70% full capacity within 15mins. but it's nowhere as bright as the T7.
I'm almost certain the US version of Bosch 10.8v is called the Colt and I'm sure it's 12v too. maybe that would throw out more lumens - I'll have to investigate.

Thanks  :salute:
