So I've been collecting SAKs (alox, in particular) for a bit over a year now. Yup, started at the end of 2011, bad time, a bit late to the party, I know... From all my SAKs (not that impressive at all in SAK collection terms) there is a group that for me sits at the top: the old(er) 93 mm alox. Here they are, at this day in time - there are few others of them that are not shown in here and the group may still continue to grow in the future, but here are they now.

A summary:

- No Soldiers in this group (not completely missing from my collection but not shown here).
- Eight brass lined ones (not counting in the custom) and eight marlinspikes.
- Oldest year marking on a blade: '85.
- Nothing unusual, just standard factory models (except the custom, of course). Still missing a Pioneer 2223 of the era and couple of other more common models.
- All are like new except for brass patina.

About the spikies: here are only the red ones shown, there are quite a bit more in the family wrapped in newer styles and/or different color scales. Maybe next there will be a get together of them all marlinspikes

Thanks everybody. It's really no big deal. I just wish I would have noticed these red alox earlier, for many years I was hapily using SAKs without care or much knowledge about these alox beauties, at the time current production and many times cheaper than today. Oh, well..

This one was also not included in the group photos (of only 93 mm).

And the customized old Pioneer. This one was beautiful, new and unused condition as the others however suffered of a factory defect: wrong backspring resulting in lateral blade wobbling. So custom it became and ten times more beautiful (and no wobble anymore too):

Nice work there Marius!¡! I don't know anything about the a alox stuff but hopefully soon I might start looking more into it. Looking at threads like this makes me more interested in them though.
