Executive, black Buffalo horn.

It's a user, no shelf queen duties for this one...

I've got big hands and these are just such a better fit than a 58mm.

Wow, beautiful SAKs here!
How do you attach scales? I mean, are the exposed rivets that keep the knife together or what?
Cheers,

Marco

I think a lot of people use epoxy of some sort, and clamp them down while it dries.

With mine, the exposed rivets are the real thing, and most of them have the scales bonded to the outer liners for strength.

Latest could equally go here or in the Wood Scales thread, (wouldn't be the first time I've double posted something...)

An Ambassador.  basically a Classic for folks with big hands.  :)

Yellow Box burl and tan Buffalo horn.

Woah, Love it!
Can I ask you how to use rivets? As far as I understand you drill out the old rivets, sandwich back all of the pieces with a brass rod sticking out of the scales, peen them and then flush them out? Optional epoxy between scales and liners.
Is it the correct procedure?
Thanks,

Marco

Those are great!  a real nice variety.  I don't know why there was not more talk of the Indian Horn with the shield (third down on the left).  These seem quite rare and it seems Vic's retail wows helped us get these ar good prices, if not bargains.

Just got this in, payed 20 euro's for it. It is in great condition, I wasn't expecting that.
Snap is still strong on all tools, zero bladeplay, no bended tools, scales undamaged,
still got the old tweezers and toothpick. Blades need some polishing and sharpening,
then she will live in my pocket on sundays  :)

Sweet knife alright, but such a tease showing that armee-suisee book..awesome!
Any change we can have a peep inside?  :D
I don't read french, so I'm not sure how much interesting stuff there is in there.  It has a lot of medical stuff, and transporting of the wounded.  I'll have to translate the TOC one day.

Thank you!  :) not only for the compliment, but for letting me know that this model is an Indian Horn, as you said, I have not heard much about this, thanks a lot!

It doesn't look like horn going by the way it is shattered.

Possibly some kind of resin or plastic.

Well, i am working extra hours, so i haven't the spare time that i used to have.
Anyway i believe that if the price was reasonable, you had a very good deal.
This lot is not easy to gather all at once.  :tu:

It's been a great year so far to had Horn scaled SAKs to the collection or pocket.  I finally managed to get an older one out of Europe. It's blades need a bit of work, and I only did a preliminary cleaning on it, but it was packed with years of grime and needed something before a photo.

Stag Spartan with small clip-point/angle blade.

Sorry, but that's not likely to happen since if you look where the blades have no refelection it is because they are all scratched up from sharpening.  I don't have time right now to polish them back up, so the knife will go into the needs-tlc box for quite a while until I have time to get to those.  There is not much else to see though; if you have something specific in mind maybe I can take a pic before it goes into nomansland.

Horn scales Inoxyd knife 2 blade 84mm's. I like the yellow side. The other side seems more bland in color.
