I use veggie oil or non stick spray.

Thanks. I'll give those a try.

You can also use rubbing alcohol (isopropanol), also used in alcohol prep pads in FAK, or lighter fluid. Some people swear by orange oil.

Important: stay clear of cellidor parts with these
Best regards and stay safe,

Wolfgang

I usually get good results with rubbing alcohol, but it didn't seem to work as well this time.

Perhaps the dreaded Tape Gunk is evolving!

If the gunk evolves, so have the solutions (pun intended)!

Next notch up my list would be acetone (nail polish remover).

Extra care is required, though. This stuff really melt plastics (don't ask how I know  )!
Best regards and stay safe,

Wolfgang

I (once) dismantled the coffee maker (machine, not Mrs Surge) and was advised  :twak: NEVER to remove the seal.

I now give it a rinse (when she's not here )

I dare not show her this  :ahhh
Oh, sorry, I must have missed this one somehow. Well our story is quite the opposite - my wife encourages me to do whatever suits me best if it helps around the house

That's awesome I always love to see other competition shooters. I have been shooting IDPA for about the past 12 years. Most recently in BUG division with a GLOCK 43.

I used the metal saw in my new SwissChamp to open two slots in the remaining of a floor siphon broken plastic cover in the bathroom. It had no way to grip it in order to unscrew. I was finally able to use a hammer and a flat screwdriver to unscrew it slowly. The round plastic piece where it screws got broken though. So it’s still a work in progress. The siphon itself seems to be ok.

Today I used the in-line Phillips screwdriver in my Swisschamp to install a Neotech Trombone Grip on my instrument. I also used the tweezers to grab a screw washer from one hole and put it in another hole, while adjusting the position. Oh, and the metal file tip was used to remove some staples and open the package.

Mission accomplished.

Aah I love pork pies, highly underrated. I live near the sea and normally buy one for a snack on the beach.

I used the scissors on my Wenger Traveler to cut up an expired ID and they definitely weren't the best tool for the job.

The stuff they make those cards out of is tough!

I used the pliers in my Swisschamp to retrieve my library card from a slot in my wallet. The card is the size of a rewards card the goes on your keyring, but I keep it in my wallet so it doesn't get torn up. Well, it slid down on its side and my sausage fingers couldn't reach it, but the SC came to the rescue once again.
