Last weekend, I removed a small, crappy drip system from one of the planters in the front yard. Instead of the drip line, I installed a sprinkler line that points toward the front lawn, rather than use the existing one that points toward the house, which was present when we moved in. I must say, the saw on my Camper makes for a GREAT root saw.

I've actually taken to pocketing my Camper whenever my three year old son is awake. He has a penchant for closing the door of whatever room he is in, and locking it. Fortunately, every interior door in our house can be unlocked with a slotted screwdriver. Until we can convince Ryan to not do this, or until he grows out of it, my wife has tasked me with carry a SAK of some kind just for this purpose.

Used my Golfer on the construction site today- final tweaks as the client was moving boxes in:
opening and cutting cable ties
unscrewing light fitting covers
replacing the battery on a guitar pedal (using the secret Phillips screwdriver) - NOT work related sadly

The hatchback lock on our Honda Fit kept jamming due to salt corrosion, and I was tired of lubing it only to have it jam again a week later.......always when the back is full of groceries on a hot day, it seemed. I also didn't want to invest in expensive new Honda parts, that probably have to be specially ordered.

Decided to take the insides apart and attached and ran a length of bicycle derailleur cable from the lock, out the rear covers, and to a split ring attached to a small clip screwed to the inside of the hatchback. At least now I can reach in from the back seat when it jams, and a quick tug releases the lock.

All accomplished with a Pioneer with added scissors and file, and a pair of pliers to crimp the cable. Sorry, no pics though  :(

May I suggest the fish scaler tip for scratching also? It is long, double ended and safe for the skin. One can use the scaler edge for the limbs, as it covers a large area, it is ergonomic anatomically for arms and legs, has many tips providing sensory input and remains very safe.
I am serious.
my favorite use of my Swisschamp.

my wives too :)

who says the fish scaler is useless.

I used the Rogueneer for a few things today.  Scissors for trimming some whiskers and a loose thread, E-blade to open some boxes, and bottle opener as a key substitute to unlock the toilet paper dispenser at work.

Not me, but a swiss soldier around 1940...........

Working on his hobnailed boots with the awl on his soldatmesser.

From the book "Soldaten Kameraden" Fraumünster-Verlag A.G., Zürich, 1941

Actually it might be interesting to see photos of swiss soldiers using their knives, anyone else have any?

cheers,

OMG this was bad, I totally forgot to post this last week, my wife just got out of a doc appt, and she felt something on the side of her neck, so as were standing there on the side of the road I took out my farmer sak and take a look, let's not forget my wife's in a wheelchair and here I am with a dark pair of glasses, over shirt and boonie hat on standing over my wife with a knife pressed to her neck, lol and all of a sudden a lady drives up aside us asking if everything is ok as I turn around holding a knife in my hand, like uhhh,, thankfully the wife says yeah, my husband is just getting something off of me! Needless to say she said "ok, just checking" and drove off, then sat at the end of the street, I think she was keeping an eye on us, making sure I wasn't trying to rob her! Lol JR

I was very busy the last 3 days.
Used my Farmer for every one of these tasks -

- Saw through some wood/branches to get a fire going
- Used the can opener as a hook to retrieve some canned food from the fire
- Used the can opener screwdriver to replace a light globe in a spotlight
- Used the blade to cut all sorts of things(cardboard, packaging, paracord)
- Used the awl to undo my paracord bracelet
- Bottle opener for a drink at the end of the day

All tools used!

Used my Champ to replace a battery on my wife's watch. The chisel is perfect as a case opener, the pliers are great for pressing the case shut ( after wrapping the watch in thick cloth).

See guys? I told it can be used for something... maybe in 10 years I'll scale a fish using the *gasp* fish scaler....

It's a bunch of folded up cardboard boxes tied with some plastic zip-tie. Sort of like these:

We were making a brochure for a new racking system and we put in a lot of empty boxes to make it seem like it was in actual use.
