I to found a use for the hook on my Climber.  I used it to entertain my 2 year old grandson. It kept him busy for almost 15 min.

What the heck did you do to the poor kid with that hook?
-John :tu:

I let him dig in the mud with it.  That Climber is the best $3 I ever spent.

Jeep the SAK of the auto world or is it SAK the Jeep of the Knife world?

I opened a package and snipped some plastic ties, then used the small screwdriver on my Climber's can opener to tighten a loose strike plate. I also used the hook to pick apart some knots in my niece's jump rope.

I can give you a negative use, if that evens out your record ;)

Bought a potato bag, attached hook, hook rips clean through the bag and the bag drops to the floor.  :ahhh
Carry the bag in hand and as I reach home (maybe 300m from the store) I could see the deformations in the bag's material from my hand.  :wait:

Damn cheap material, too cheap for a 7,5kg bag  :viking:

I used the Rogueneer's hook file to file a couple nails, and the tip of the metal file to clean them.  Also used the eblade to open some mail and a package of baby wipes.

Alox is easy. Just wash with dishsoap and dry it with a air compressor. If no air compressor dry it as good as you can and air dry. If air dry isn't good enough put it in the over for a little while to get the water out of the pivot areas.

+1  the blow dryer works well too...use it on hot so it heats the metal a bit.

Used the tothpick of my rambler to re-iontroduce the elastic band to the hem of my daughters bathing suit.

If at home I would have used a safety-pin, but this was on the beach. Worked like a charm, pushed the toothpick through the rubberband and then it was easy to pull it trough the hem.

Damn, I feel like MacGyver when improvising the tools use even if it´s not exactly saving the world.

-John

Just wipe it with a wet wipe at the park (if you have them - if you have kids you probably do!  ;) )
Then just the same as the alox when you get home.
Nice hot water, and maybe a bit of detergent, I have all the blades open, which can be a bit dangerous!!  :o I have nipped myself more times cleaning SAKS than at any other time  :o
Dry it off - I just let it air dry usually balanced on a blade tip to let the water drain - Sometimes carry it in my pocket (tools in again  :salute:) to make the last little bit of dampness evaporate -

Then a must , of course, a light oil on the joints

Used the little screwdriver at work to change batteries for the thermometer that works with the clock at work.
At home I used the screwdriver in the can opener to change batteries in my weather station.
