Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Used Farmer to saw of a few branches that were growing a bit to long into our pathway where the kids bike. Ok it wasn't completely necessary but that saw is so satisfying to use.

I was hoping someone would get the reference ;) (see Mextreme's avatar).

Slightly more on topic: I used the tip of my Executive's nail file to set the date on my Hamilton watch. Again :)

Last night really, but shhhhh. I used my Tinker as my only screw driver while I did a full tune up on my bike as a way to help shake away some of my winter blues. I found myself using the can opener driver for phillips screws significantly more than the actual phillips driver

And the obnoxious overposting continues!!!

Pretty much use my Swisschamp on and off all day.  I opened some stewed tomatoes, cut up some card board to make nerf gun targets for my roomies kid, and the only pic was opening some coffee we got as a sample.  Not a fan of dark roast but hey it was free.

Used the Cut & Picker Blade of my MiniChamp to peel some clementines this evening.  It works very well on thin skin types of oranges.  Not so well on thick skins of navel oranges.

Took the wire cutters out of my Rebar with the bit driver on my XLT - needed to tidy up some burrs on the edges after cutting some stainless wire.

Man that XLT is fat.
using the driver must be a great workout for the grip and forearms. Kind of like using fat bars for training in the gym.

The MechaRogue came in very handy for troubleshooting/fixing a desk calculator for someone at work.

Nice to see. I thought I was the last dinosaur still using a desk calculator.
That MechaRouge has a great tool-set.
Thanks, it's a good load out, and I think it will be my main SAK.  As for the calculator, we all still use them here.  This is a bank though, so most need this type.  I actually don't have one as the one on the computer is sufficient for me.

JR thinks he's a funny guy, but he's only a couple years younger than me ;)

I love the Vic pliers. I'm pondering either going for a custom or getting a Handyman for a smaller SAK that has them. I can never make up my mind.
Hi. When you say custom.. Is it possible to get one made to order?

It is possible through some of the members here, but not Victorinox themselves as far as I know.

Does a Swiss Card Lite count? It's my "church knife." . Anyway, the scissors opened a tube of yogurt for my son at brunch.

Used the blue Wenger to open a pack of brickettes for the stove.

Stoked up and got it ticking over nicely...  Then promptly dropped off for the next half hour. Always does that.

Used my new old $5 junk store, weekend pickup, waiter(?) to adjust a door closer, pop some plastic covers on a lock, and motivate a slighly misaligned dynabolt though a hole on a custom multiple monitor mount. ie a massive lump of wood.
