I used my SwissTool to place to a thick wire a few Christmas lights, with aid of a insulated wire.

Celebrated Christmas with my side of the family today. The pioneer got a workout: the blade was used to open many packages, the can opener tip to open battery compartments on my neice and nephew's toys and the awl was used to cut through the zip-ties holding the toys captive in their boxes.

I expect more of the same with my wife's family tomorrow

Merry Christmas!

Awl for zip ties? I didn't thought of that. I'll try it.
This thread will be a good reference for use of the various tools.
Today I used my XLTs pliers to straighten the springs (scissors and pliers) of my wife's Cybertool 34. Then I used the sharpening stone to fix the scissors. Apparently she cuts wire with it and she made dents everywhere. I must instruct her for using the plier's wire cutter.
The corkscrew is going to be used shortly. Merry Christmas everybody!

I used the magnifying glass of my SwissChamp to see if a miniature bible that I saw on a friend's house (just a bit bigger than my thumbnail) could be read. It could!

Fairly mundane, but used my personalised Explorer to open the beer with dinner(Timothy Taylor's Strong Pale Ale :D)

No matter how I try,I find my way to the same old jams.

My daughter used the scissors on my DT to open Christmas presents this morning. She said she likes using them. I might have to figure out which model to buy for her now.

Used my Electrician and Compact SAKs for opening gifts on Christmas.  Also used the small sheepsfoot blade on the Electrician to open a makeup container for my wife.  That blade is great for precision cutting, and it's very useful in general I've found.  Also used the bottle opener on the Compact to pop the tops off a couple Sam Adam's Boston Lagers last night :D

I think that the Electrician's doubles up as an effective watch opener.

I used the awl on my Deluxe Tinker to poke some holes in some pork belly I had cured to make bacon. I put butchers twine through the holes to make loops for the meat to hang off wooden dowels in the smoker.

Yes, with a gentle move you can open the back case of a watch. :tu:

Used it as a measure for showing how hazardous a bike lane is...  (gets dang narrow here)

I frequently use it as a measure for showing hazards to bicyclists...

If you can't fix it with duct tape, a hammer, a screwdriver, bailing wire, zipties, or a Swiss Army Knife, it's broken and irreparable.

I hate these drainage holes.... and the problem can me sorted do easily, by putting them the other way round...  I dropped my wheel in one a few decades ago, flipped over...  :ahhh

No, they can't be fixed easily, those are rectangular drains, they are a little bit longer than they are wide, so the grates can't be rotated into a safe position.  I do regularly rotate the square ones though.

Hope you weren't hurt too badly when you crashed.

Over the last week or so, I used my "cranberry scaled" Huntsman to open many bottles of beer and a bottle of wine or two.  :drink:

My Classic came in handy for opening the battery compartments on a couple of the wee feller's new toys.  :D

Last Sunday the saw on my Swiss Tool deftly cut a stubborn tree root that got in the way while I was digging a grave for my aunt's dog. RIP Tim.  :(

Today my Hunstman was used to fix a zip on my wife's suit case and take apart one of the babby's toys for cleaning.

KTesh, when I said rotate round I meant during the actual design/production phase, not when they are installed. As you said their shape stops them from being rotated once made.

I do not remember how much I hurt myself... too long ago  :D

I used my Manager scissors to cut a nail!!
