What a wonderful derail! :)

Today I used my huntsman to cut up chicken and used the spirit x to crimp sinkers and get a hook out of the mouth of a bass.

Rickenbacker or Fender? ;-p

Got a steel sliver in my finger yesteday, couldn't get it out until in popped to the surface today.  I was standing, talking to my wife and put my hand on the door frame and felt a stab of pain on my finger and felt the steel sliver popped out.  Grabbed my Vic Spartan, took out the tweezers and pulled out the sliver.  Popped the Spartan back in my pocket and continued to talk to my wife.

My wife looks at me and says, "That just makes you so happy doesn't it?  Using your SAK that you always carry."

Maybe should could tell by the smug look on my face.

My Harvester got used quite a lot this weekend in the garden. Cutting cord (lots of cord), weeding out tomatoes and harvesting tomatoes and bell peppers!

Used the Mechaneer to fix the latch for our outside door.  The casing where the two screws were has become a bit weak and the screws had come loose, causing the latch to fall off.

Awl to start a new hole under each old one:

Phillips driver to screw the screws into the new holes:

Good as new :tu:

Well, I used a SAK saw for the first time today with my Ranger at work, and not as the typical saw use.  There was a semi-heavy box towards the back of a bottom shelf in my supply room that I couldn't quite reach.  I could have reached it and pulled it towards me if I wanted to be boring about it, but I figured I'd try to use my new toy ;)  Then it popped into my head to use the saw as a sort of gripper.  So I struck the saw onto the back top edge of the box and pulled in, and to my amazement, it worked like a charm :tu:  Sorry no pic though.  I have to get better at having my cell on me whenever I leave my office just in case something comes up :twak:

Yeah, I handed it to the mrs to open a box or cut packing tape and i thought she was opening the main blade and she opened the saw instead. I about came out of my skin when I saw it and looked over at where it usually stays on the end table next to my chair. I thought I handed her the Swiss Champ or a Charge Ti. And yes, I was like, where the smurf did that come from?¿!¡?

Well it's definitely a great SAK, but if you have a Huntsman, there isn't a huge difference other than the metal file/chisel backtool layer and the small flathead backtool on the saw layer (I don't think the Huntsman has that ).  Not that something as trivial as that stops some of us ;)

A couple of the back tools and the file are the difference. I doubt it's worth getting a new SAK for, yeah right!¡!

Oh, and one more Ranger use tonight (or this morning for me technically).  Just used the main blade to slice me up an apple.

I used a Climber to help open tools on my new Wenger Giant.  The Giant is not designed to have all its implements closed, so you can't always use your fingers to get them open if you do.  I think there is one blade that is designed not to be opened, but I have to look into that some more.

This didn't happen today, but you all got me thinking of that time when I was at the gas station trying to get some air in my tires, and the valve stem caps wouldn't budge. Well, I used my SwissChamp pliers to loosen it in a jiff, and proceeded to get my air.  :salute:
