Wew, it's been a while since my last post. It's been due to a combination of my cellphone carrier ending my lifetime unlimited dataplan and my phone dying.
Unfortunate events to say the least.

Anyway, I got a new car radio and had to take my old one out:

I didn't have the release keys for the Kenwood, so I had to improvise. A pair of streetsweeper blades and a Handyman did the trick.
Only to learn that Sony uses another connector than Kenwood. So today I have to shop for another cable.

Was on a hike with my girlfriend and our dog, when we came upon some blackberry bushes. They were a bit tricky to pick by hand because of the tiny little thorns on the stem right above where it connects to the berry. I used the blade on my Cadet right putting it right where the berry connected to the stem, with my thumb on the berry and pulled. Made picking them much easier!

And I still got a tiny little thorn in my finger anyway, but the tweezers on the Jetsetter on my keychain took care of that!

So today my SAK was quite busy:
1. I'm on a business trip and today it was nasty hot during the meeting in the room and the remote to the conditioner was missing. The window handles were removed for security reasons and to stay alive I had to use the bottle opening large screwdriver on my Forester to open a window.
2. When I got back to the hotel I finally could take a break from being serious, take shower and enjoy cold Pepsi and some delicious peaches. I've opened the bottle and cut the peaches with that Forester too.
3. Last but it least - I have a MacBook Pro with an hdmi port and to enjoy some movie on a large screen of my hotel room TV set I bought and opened an hdmi cable.
That's it for now

I've used my Spirit in the following ways over the last couple weeks:

1. Open a bottle of beer here and there.
2. Used the butter blade to cut a fraying strap off of a duffel bag.
3. Used the pliers to pick up random pieces of trash out on the lot at work.
4. Used the pliers to switch the end of the hand pump on my bike when I had to change a flat.
5. I worked as a bike marshal on a charity ride last Sunday and I used the scissors to cut zip ties to help secure things to numerous bikes.
6. I use the package opener everytime Mrs. TJ and I come home from grocery shopping to open up a case of water.

Some say the can opener is not needed anymore in the modern world, but I say different. The Swiss can opener is still one of the best in the market much much better than Leatherman's

After cussing out those EPA-compliant ventless spill proof cans (read, spill fuel everywhere but the gas tank fighting with the overly complicated spout)--ours are made by Blitz, and those have both a valve that has to be pressed down, and another switch like thing that has to be held in the "Pour" position to work. I got mad, got out my Classic, and shoved the scissors into the gap between "Store" and "Pour" on the can to hold it in the "Pour" position. Surprisingly, that worked. Eventually, we're converting all our gas and diesel cans to the steel OSHA-type industrial cans.  This just goes to show that the Classic isn't just for "suits and girls" (Swiss Army Knife Owner's Manual", but just about everyone.  And I don't even carry mine on a keychain like most--it's my watch pocket SAK.

Pulling the plastic grill base of the coffee machine (where you put the cup in) to wash, that was literally glued there on due to coffee buildup...
Used the can opener like a hook to pull it, and to pry... Done! Perfect!  :D

I used a blade on my Wenger evogrip s557 to clean the wood boards, a awl to run holes in it and a Philips screwdriver to connect them by screws. The result was a rack.
