That's a total MacGyver move!

Funny, in the first season Mac does a similar task with a toothpick from some cocktail olives...   which begs the question... why didn't he just use the toothpick from his SAK?

I'm thinking it gave him an excuse to talk to the cute bartender... and maybe he was just hungry... or both.

Sak toothpicks are not pointier and are wider... and an excuse to talk to the bartender

The rail for an end table drawer somehow came loose and caused the drawer to stick up like it was falling out the bottom of the table. The screw was still screwed into the end table(and wouldn't budge). So, I used the awl on my Hiker to drill out a hole where the screw was and slipped it over the screw to fix it. Done.  :tu:

We bought a letterboard and I spend some time cutting letters from a mould with my Explorer.
I hijacked it before my girlfriend could put some sweet message on.
This is loosly based on Marcus Aurelius, a Stoic Emperor:
“The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.”

We recently got a new (to us) car, and hubby ordered new floor mats for it. The problem was that they were generic floor mats, and some trimming needed to be done to fit them in the footwell of the driver's side.

I grabbed the first SAK at hand (my Small Tinker on the coffee table) and went to it.

And... wow. I was shocked. I though that heavy plastic/rubber of the mats would put up at least a LITTLE fight. Nope. The large pen blade slid through it with frightening ease. I'm not saying it was effortless, just that i feared if the knife was up to the challenge, and turned out to not even work up a sweat.

I've never considered coconut milk in coffee before. I guess since you're doing it, it must taste pretty good. At least to you. Now i have a new thing to try.

Oh man, it's SO good!  Use the sweetened stuff.... I usually just take mine black but am partial to the coconut stuff.

Once again the cap lifter on my Soldier saved the day. I had to bend a barn door latch back in place so I could lock it. This tool is one of the reasons I like the 111mm liner lock models.

Jeep the SAK of the auto world or is it SAK the Jeep of the Knife world?

a devilishly clever tool

Even on the lighter models, I've considered the flathead driver one of the first, and most important reasons to carry a SAK instead of just a knife. I'm shocked at how much word the flathead on a 91mm can manage, not to mention the much beefier version on the 93mm Farmer. And the locking one on the 111mm Soldier/Trekker is a beast.

Yeah. The caplifter comes really handy if you have a lot of stapled paper.

I use it everyday in the office as a staplebreaker.
