Christmas Eve I used my Ruby Red Tinker to open the grand kids presents. Yesterday it was Stinker the Tinker's turn for opening bags of rock salt. We got a bit of snow the past few days. tom.  :climber:

The velcro on my jacket doesn't stick like it did 25+ years ago when it was new so I used the awl on the Pocket tool chest to clean all the lint from the velcro. Just one more reason awls are more usefull then cuticle pushers.

Used the small blade on my much abused Spartan to pop hidden retaining clips holding the antenna onto the roof of my dad's jeep. It was about 10 degrees, and the blade was not the tool to use, but anything to not have to be standing out there longer than I needed. It worked perfectly.

I've done this on-the-go package prep quite a bit... The 91mm scissors are perfect for this simple job.

Whe got a unruly can of soup today in our kitchen, and neither of our can openers worked on it, so I decided to return to carry my S557 Evogrip (Wenger) and opened the Can whit it’s Wenger Style Can Opener..

This brought me to the Decision to put my Swisschamp XLT on the shelf and use now the Little 84mm SAK as EDC Knife,
And I ordered the same Modell from Victorinox because when I use this Modell every day, I want a Knife which works better..
Your SAK is only fully yours, when it bites you, or you opend a Trink of your joice whit it
SAKs i have: Huntsman Light (Red Transparent), Workchamp (Black), Wenger EvoGrip S557 (Red), Swisschamp XLT (Red Transparent)..

I used my Forester to slice a pear,  an orange and an apple. Those were all delicious and since I recently learned to sharpen a SAK properly it all went down a treat :)

Something I've been looking for is non-alcoholic beverages that use a cork that needs a corkscrew to be removed so I can use the corkscrew for what it's intended (not untying ropes and carrying the micro screwdriver, though those are listed uses in the instructions).  Some friends of my grandparents give us sparkling juice every year at Christmas, and it's cut (or twist) the wire off, and then let the cork pop out, thus it doesn't need a corkscrew. .

Today I used my Champion's magnifying glass to try to interpret some worn away knife tang stamps.

Wonder if the can opener that failed need sharpening? If so, a little permanent marker on the old bevel and to help guide you while using a stone file to touch up the edge both sides. Works for me and makes can opening easier.

:like: Doing just what a SAK is meant for! :salute: I always use a SAK can opener in the kitchen - I trust no other.

I find 84mm a really good size for pocket carrying. :tu:

Anyway. Today at work I used my Handyman to cut down huge weeds that I couldn't pull from the ground.

Started to get me thinking of the Farmer...

Used the magical can opening screwdriver on my Forester to disassemble and then fix my old small mixing board with a soundcard. It turned out that one of the input jacks got smurfed and I replaced it. Works like magic now

Cadet II X saw some action today... First it cut a leather strip to length for a lanyard I was making for the mini toolclip... Then it helped in opening a package which arrived today...

Bofere I went to a taylor, Jalox cut some velcro backing and opened a can of adhesive to stick the velcro on some patches... Taylor then added stitches for strength...

Now I can wear my Rebel patch proudly...

Might add some velcro to the front of my backpack

This & the original are about the only flavors you can find here. Once in a great while you might see something else but not often. This is the only one I ever buy anyway.
