Thanks for noticing the color coordination Phil!  Used garlic to Infuse the oil on a filet and also roasted some with some fingerling potatoes then sauteed a little broccolini with it.   Mmmm

Sounds delicious Dan a bit of garlic is always great and helps keeps the Vampires away too

On a BO roll here with my Spirit. I've never really used the Spirit scissors in earnest. Good but not yet convinced and be interested what everyone else thinks

Not a SAK, but it is a Swiss knife.

I am a teacher and use my Spirit X regularly. The scissors are by far my most used tool. I will NEVER carry a multi-tool without them. Also I used the awl for opening a juice bag (not juice box?) those straws can't penetrate.... anything.

Cheers,

I've used the can opener on my Spirit to open various cans for meals, butter blade to cut duct tape and awl to bore out holes to screw in license plates.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

The Handyman wins again! I used the pliers today to extract an important item from the tight space it had fallen into.

I had been considering substituting a Ranger for my Handyman as work carry to reduce weight and bulk. I hardly ever use the pliers at work - except for problems when they save me or us from going to a lot of trouble to sort out. :P

Our roomba wasn't happy because it was clogged from (cat) hair. I used the scissors, pliers and the hook on my XLT to remove that crap from inside of the machine. Now it does again at what its best: It just sucks  :like:

@Sawl Goodman: I also like the pliers. Very usable little things!

Nice, I'm getting a CyberTool 41 soon,  :woohoo:
used my Cybertool S that I got some time ago to swap a laptop's hard drive yesterday, works like a dream. And the bit driver feels much sturdier and locks much more firmly than I had imagined.  41 is going to get a lot of use given that is has the other tools I rely on in my Swisschamp, S could make do for a speSmurfpillst, but not general EDC.

It was an auto correct mistake
Getting down into the 60s tonight in Phoenix.

Phoenicians are thin-blooded so people start wearing parkas and fur lined boots when it gets into the 60s here.

There were folks walking round in shorts and tee shirts in that temp round here earlier this week  ;) In fact, that's the temp (15C) that my heating thermostat is almost permanently set to.

This weekend saw the two biggest SAKs in my collection getting a chance to stretch their legs.

Saturday morning saw the CT41 help out with dismantling a wire bathroom storage rack and help to assemble a new wooden one to take its place. The can opener screwdriver and the hex bit driver made short work of both projects. The fact that I didn’t have to run to the basement and dig out any tools from my toolbox is the reason the 41 has a permanent home in the kitchen drawer.

Sunday found the Swisschamp answering the call on a few projects. I used the main blade to cut the straps on two boxes containing new bathroom faucets. When I went to use a previously used tube of silicone to seal around the drain on the sink, I noticed it had dried and plugged up the nozzle. I used the main blade to cut the nozzle down a bit, then used the awl start digging out the dried silicone. The fish scaler came out next to push the remaining dried silicone back in to the tube so I could squeeze out the fresh stuff. It cleared the way and I was back in business.

After replacing the faucets,I needed to fix the sun visor on my truck. The internal mechanism that keeps it in either the up or down position had broken and was floating freely, causing the visor to flop down 2/3 of the way. I needed a way to clamp it back down again so I wouldn’t have to hold it up or move it to the side all the time while driving. I used the awl again to scribe a line about an inch long on each side of the sun visor, near the pivot. The I was able to push the awl through the plastic along the line. Next came the backside chisel to clean up the cuts I had just made. I slipped two zip ties through the holes and looped them around and cinched them at the top, pulled them tight with the pliers and cut the excess flush with the main blade again. It took the visor back out to the truck and installed it back up on the driver’s side with the inline phillips.

To top it all off, on my way back in the house I found a dead bumble bee laying on one of the front steps. I immediately pulled out the Swisschamp and removed the tweezers, then flipped open the magnifying lens. I picked up the expired insect with the tweezers and did an up close inspection with the mag lens. I felt like a kid again for a few moments, marveling at the complexity of such a tiny creature, before I found the bee a final resting place in the garden. I think he would have wanted it that way.

Today in the office I used my Swisschamp XLT as a conversation piece. "Whoa. Didn't know they have SAKs that look like a brick."

Pioneer removes old shipping labels from boxes so the box can be re-used to ship things I sell on the fleabay. It also opens the packages of the new-to-me tools I've bought from there, and helps to remove some of the grease, gunk, etc. that's left on them (mostly old mechanic's tools. They might've cleaned them off once for prosperity's sake, and never again  )

Yesterday very early in the morning I had to take my Wife to the emergency room ( don't worry she's ok). In my haste to get out of the house I forgot to grab a SAK with a scissors ( usually a Pocket tool chest). The only tool I had was my OHT. After our visit She asked me to cut off her wrist band which the nurse had put on a bit on the tight side making it hard to get the Trekker blade under to slice it of. The blunt tip of the Trekker made cutting much easier due to the fact that I didn't have to worry about cutting her with a sharp point. This is why I'm a fan of the blunt tip 111mm blade. It's a great safety blade.
