Thanks guys  :D

I was impressed how easily the scissors cut the leather! Now to resist the temptation to turn the pioneer x into an alox huntsman.

Used the little blade on my Explorer to open up a package. Need to find an easy way to remove those glue residues.

@Serena, I usually just use a little rubbing alcohol on a paper towel and it cleans the blades right up. Just be very careful not to get any on the celidor handles, or touch the handles with fingers that are still wet with alcohol; it will deface them. I have an old Super Tinker that has one of my fingerprints on the scale because it still had a little rubbing alcohol on it when I picked the knife up again. I usually wipe the blades down and let them dry, then go wash my hands to be safe.

Okay, I can be a bit clumsy sometimes. Better let the alcohol sit aside then…

Sissors on the end of a straw...ever push a straw into your drink only to have it come back up??? The end was sealed shut...never seen that before, but pulled out the MiniChamp sissors and sniped it off.

I use alcohol swabs all the time for this purpose, never seen any scale damage.

I ended up having to hand stitch a very large rip in the kids pants, then since I got the thread out I had to fix a cat toy, but I needed something to keep cutting the string, thus a little sak..

That's because it was just quick and soft swipes. I learned my lesson about alcohol and cellidor scales many years ago. The two just don't go together. Given enough exposure, alcohol and similar products will soften the scales causing them to warp, or will even start to dissolve them, literally. That's why when ever i buy a sak at a store that has a price sticker on the scales, i strictly forbid the store assistant to take it out and clean the residue with anything. I once walked away on a buy after a stubborn store lady insisted in cleaning the glue residue with benzine (lighter fluid).
Sak scales are cleaned with one thing, and one thing only: Water and Soap!

Just cut an apple. It takes any tape/adhesive residue right off. Learned that by accident with my Huntsman during the challenge.

Making dinner, had to cut open the plastic casing for a pound of ground meat, then a can of black eyed peas and a can of cream of celery, to throw together some Hoppin' John casserole.

Used the bottle opener/screwdriver to lift the little thingy on a Coca Cola can to open it. I have no idea how to call that in English. Actually, I don't even know the Dutch word!!!
