I used the magnifying glass on my Explorer at work to read the serial number off of an iPad I was working on. If I hadn't switched out my work SAK from a Deluxe Tinker to an Explorer just yesterday morning, I would have had to run all the way back to my shop to get my glasses in order to read the micro print they used.

Used the pen in my Handyman to make small notes when I didn't have a pen ready.

Here a picture of the Small Blade. A very nice tool for precision cuts. I keep it sharp for detailed work.
Of course we don't do surgery with this blade. But on the tip of the blade you see an IOL (Intra Ocular Lens).
These are used to replace the natural lens in a cataract surgery. They are really tiny!

To place them they are rolled up in an injector (sort of syringe). When inserted the lens will unfold and the haptics (tiny arms on the lens) will keep the lens in place.

Used the small blade to cut leather and the awl to poke holes.
I'm trying to make a pocket organiser but am afraid I made it a tad too small.

SwissChamp ??  ??? ??? ???

I used the small blade on my Handyman to cut the leather, the pen to draw out the pattern and the awl to poke the holes.
Turned out the awl didn't puncture deep enough to make the holes ready for sewing, so I picked up some awls yesterday, I have to retrace all the holes. But that's okay, it's a fun project to work on.
Or did you mean what the organiser is for? It's for work related stuff that's always in my bag. I carry more to work than just this, but tend to forget the other stuff when I've been away for a couple of days. So this is going to hold my keys, a pen and acces card. Perhaps also a small USB-drive with some software on it.

Talking about projects, I made a fancy packaging for my girlfriends Valentines Day gift this morning. Again used the pen to draw out the pattern and the small balde to cut it. The nail cleaner on the Metalfile was perfect for scoring folding lines. Now, I hope she likes the bracelet...

I continued working on my pocket organiser.
The Vic Awl didn't work, so I bought a set of awls to get the job done.
It was surprisingly hard to get this to work and look nice.
Took about 2 hours to sew it all together.

Right now I can't feel my fingers anymore
Pushing the needle through the leather pretty doable, but through four layers of leather a whole different story.

I do like how it turned out. I didn't expect my stuff to fit, so that's a nice surprise.
Next time I'm going to do some leatherwork I'm ordering a leather punch set to make the job easier. Also, I'm going to use waxed cord next time.

To finish the set I added orange 550 cord to the Key-Smart and 110 cord to the USB drive. The USB drive fits in a small pocket on the back.

My office chair died yesterday.

The "Plastic" back broke away from the support.
On closer examination, its really under-engineered, probably designed to fail.

So last night I made a brace and fitted it this morning.
I used the old Victornox Herc phillips head as it was the closest tool.
But I had to use a portable drill to drill the holes and fit the coach bolts into the brace.

If it breaks this time, It simply means I'm way tooooo fat.

Thanks! I like it when the scissors are so sharp that you slice right through it without even actually pressing the handles
