My office chair died yesterday.

The "Plastic" back broke away from the support.
On closer examination, its really under-engineered, probably designed to fail.

So last night I made a brace and fitted it this morning.
I used the old Victornox Herc phillips head as it was the closest tool.
But I had to use a portable drill to drill the holes and fit the coach bolts into the brace.

If it breaks this time, It simply means I'm way tooooo fat.

Excellent fix on that chair Valkie  :tu:  :like:

Used the Handyman to cut some plastic tarp to size
Great usage!  :like: :tu:

Thanks! I like it when the scissors are so sharp that you slice right through it without even actually pressing the handles

Used the pen in my Handyman to make small notes when I didn't have a pen ready.

Here a picture of the Small Blade. A very nice tool for precision cuts. I keep it sharp for detailed work.
Of course we don't do surgery with this blade. But on the tip of the blade you see an IOL (Intra Ocular Lens).
These are used to replace the natural lens in a cataract surgery. They are really tiny!

To place them they are rolled up in an injector (sort of syringe). When inserted the lens will unfold and the haptics (tiny arms on the lens) will keep the lens in place.

Cool!
Did you clean that IOL before using it on a patient? ;)

I continued working on my pocket organiser.
The Vic Awl didn't work, so I bought a set of awls to get the job done.
It was surprisingly hard to get this to work and look nice.
Took about 2 hours to sew it all together.

(Image removed from quote.)

Right now I can't feel my fingers anymore
Pushing the needle through the leather pretty doable, but through four layers of leather a whole different story.

I do like how it turned out. I didn't expect my stuff to fit, so that's a nice surprise.
Next time I'm going to do some leatherwork I'm ordering a leather punch set to make the job easier. Also, I'm going to use waxed cord next time.

To finish the set I added orange 550 cord to the Key-Smart and 110 cord to the USB drive. The USB drive fits in a small pocket on the back.

(Image removed from quote.)

That looks great Mac
And I really like the orange of course :)

Me too. The bottle opener is a bit so so though.

I would really like a Phillips like that on my Executive.

My four year old watched me fix a door lock plate (?) and she thought: I can do that!
So she went around the house looking for all kinds of screws. She liked the Phillips driver the most.
