Had a tangle with a tree while mountain biking on Saturday  and used the scissor on the Rambler to nip off the pieces of skin that were hooking on everything.

Thanks all :hatsoff:

To be frank, I've got little time for thinking about which tool to pack at the monent - some RL things are getting in the way. Which is why I'm happy to say I've found a tool load that makes it possible to avoid thinking about it too much :D

Only worrying thing is: in a city in one of the other German states they have started designating the main rail station a no-knife area, to do something about some punks terrorising the visitors. Here's me hoping this doesn't catch on where I live, as I often frequent our main station to grab a bite and espresso for lunch...
Cheers!

Tried out the tin opener on my Pioneer today on a tomato paste tin. Worked OK even though I’m left handed. Spaghetti Bolognese tasty.  :tu:

I'm a lefty too, and find the Vic opener the most user friendly of the bunch.

I was thinking same exactly. We never complain (not much at least), but maybe a thread on SAK/MT observations for lefties? Something like “What’s not right for left handers?”  :dunno:

Simple examples; use any main blade on a SAK and the scale logo faces away from you if you’re left handed. Nail nicks favor holding the SAK in the right hand and using the left thumb nail. Tin openers require awkward hand arrangement to go anti-clockwise if held in the left hand. With scissors, lefties have to look over the top to see the exact cut line.

I guess we adapt quickly and never give these limitations much thought?

I think a lefties thread in general would be sweet as hell! I never had an issue because even though I am left handed I was ambidextrous enough to learn nearly everything with both hands. I know..I'm a freak.

I was putting together a new beehive for my wife. It's mainly a job for a hammer, but the Explorer helped a little.

Pried open some paint cans with the SwissTool large screwdriver, bottle opener, and chisel. It was whatever I could quickly open, thus the change. I also opened a new knife with the MiniChamp.
