As of this morning, I've already used my SwissChamp for the following:

Worked on some wall trim that wasn't quite cut to fit near a drawer. It had to be cut out to allow the kitchen cabinet drawer drawer to clear it, but not enough. I've been cutting a lot of it away, but used the chisel this time. I was surprised at how well it worked, especially on a 20 year old secondhand SwissChamp.
Used the saw to cut some notches into the deflector of the riding lawnmower deck. My grandfather likes to keep it up; and uses two rubber tie-downs to do so, but it slips off. I'd put two in the left side last season, but needed to put some on the right today.
Cut weed eater string with the scissors.
Sharpened the ends of the line with the pen blade. The head I put on my FS38 is a quick-load one, and according to the service rep, sharpening the ends makes them slot inside to lock into place better before spooling it inside the weed eater.

Especially given today is the first day I've actually carried and used it. I've had it since mid February, but was in the middle of about four consecutive challenges until the end of April.

Visiting a relative in the hospital, I had a minor problem. The  piece that clamps the ends together on my Lock Laces I have on my sneakers  had come loose (again). That would have been no match for the SwissChamp, which due to the hospital's "No Weapons" policy, I'd left in the car. So, out came the backup checkbook-bound SwissCard (which is bladeless because I took the blade out). I snipped the laces to equal lengths at the ends with the scissors, (eventually, after 5 minutes) had used the nail file to pry the clamp apart, I stuck the laces inside it, then snapped it back together.

The SwissCard works ,but I'd much prefer my Style PS (which I misplaced) for a bladeless carry when there are no searches or metal detectors.

Great use! And that's why nail guns freak me out, even though I use them all the time. We've been using finish nailers modelling house, and I've handled that thing with more caution than a loaded firearm.

On another note, I'm surprised they don't make a big fuss over MTs at the hospital you work at. The two main hospitals here have signs everywhere against carrying a pocketknife, even at the outpatient/doctor's offices run by them. One clinic (which my grandmother's doctor is in) is extra sneaky in that they put the sign "NO WEAPONS OF ANY KIND"  inside the main entrance. I've got to the point that if I'm belt carrying, and waiting on my folks at that doctor, and i have to use the restroom, I just go to the fast food restaurant a mile down the road. At least my doctor, who runs his own office, really doesn't care; whether it be some guy concealed carrying; or me unloading my EDC when I get weighed.

I have been carrying a SAK as my EDC in our Emergency Department for 30 years now and fortunately I have never been given any real grief by those in charge, so I have been lucky I guess.
My first EDC was a Victorinox Scientist which I bought in 1990 and I carried that till the year 2000 until I lost it courtesy of a hole in my pocket and I was even more annoyed later on when I found out that it was a very collectable SAK. That started off my interest in swiss army knives and I have managed to obtain several of them over the last 15 years or so.
 I really hate it when I lose pocket knives and that started in the early 1970's when as a young boy and I managed to lose 3 pocket knives in the space of 3 years, all on my birthdays when I received them as presents. They were nothing special, just Richard's brand pocket knives that were made in the UK and were a cheap mass produced knife,but for me at the time they were the best gift you could ever receive as a boy because you felt almost like a adult to have the responsibility of carrying a pocket knife.
The Scientist was a favourite of mine, though I prefer the Victorinox Compact I replaced it with as my EDC today, because of those very useful scissors. I do have a mint Victorinox Yeoman in it's box with the original papers and that has the best of both worlds in regards to both the Scientist and the Compact's tools, but my Yeoman is too rare and valuable to be used as a EDC and so it is a shelf queen, as I would hate to damage it through every day wear and tear or even lose it.
In regards to my Victorinox Spirit XC, I find it a bit too heavy to carry in it's leather case on my belt so I keep it in my work locker in my backpack and I very rarely use it as I did when that nurse requested it for a doctor to remove that nail from the hand of a patient.
The other problem is that it has that locking blade and other tools (it's a serrated "butter knife", but..) and here in Melbourne Victoria that is a big no, no in regards to the law. The irony is that I mostly use that blade for cutting a crusty bread roll or steak at work and little else - it's brilliant as a dinner knife! LOL.
Its funny also that we have police officers and even the odd detective in our Emergency Department on most days, either escorting "psych patients" and car accident patients in or guarding a someone that is under arrest or when we have a code black (a violent internal situation) in progress. Thankfully I have never been pulled up by the cops over my SAK and that might be because I keep it on me discretely and securely attached to a leather lanyard on my belt which disappears deep into my pocket.

I also have a photo to show everyone of my small collection of Swiss Army Knives and those red alox "old cross" ones are my favourites.

I’ve thought before about deconstructing an old Swiss Champ and using the Phillips/magnifier layer to make a Yeoman from a Compact. I believe this is a common mod.

Blade a bunch of cutting stuff.

Saw, used it to cut a dead tree branch so I could roll up some electric fencing wire we often use as a measuring tool.

OC Pioneer:

Blade: Cut some Vet-Wrap (self-adhesive bandage) to brace an ankle I twisted. Vet Wrap is basically the SAK of bandages--it's incredibly versatile and inexpensive. It's no different than some stuff they sell at pharmacies, but a lot cheaper--and in brighter colors and bigger sizes. I also prefer it to bandage tape for securing gauze pads and the like.

   Last night I used the can opener on my CT41 to open some clam shell packaging, pulling it like a draw-knife until I could extract the item trapped inside. I could've used one of the two blades to open it, but I was curious to see if it would work without sharpening the back side of the can opener.
   This morning I was thinking about the new MiniChamp I got in the mail yesterday and what I could use the cut and picker blade for. I wondered if I could use the unique blade design on it to act as a wire cutter/stripper. I’ve used the wire stripper on the cap lifter of my Explorer along with the main blade to strip larger wires, but wanted to see if this little powerhouse was up to the task. I got to work and found an old piece of Cat-5 cable, opened the cut and picker blade slightly and trapped the cable underneath it. Then, with a little bit of pressure on the top of the blade, I spun the MiniChamp backwards towards the knife pivot a few times. I opened the blade all the way and pulled on the end of the cable and the casing slid right off, exposing the four twisted pairs inside, unscathed. I might just have to add the MC to my work carry.

On my very first day of carrying my mint red OC Farmer, a coworker need help opening a can of peaches at work. It must be fate because I don't think I've needed to open a can in years. I was more than happy to oblige, especially since the Vic style can opener is the only one I can manage to use without spending an hour fiddling and cutting myself. The job took seconds.

My Farmer's first knife duty was to cut the paracord I needed to give it a proper fob.

It's been a good day thus far.

The Victorinox  Minichamp is an amazing little knife. Both blades will take a shaving sharp edge and are big enough to cut open cardboard boxes or to cut the flaps off of boxes. They are also good for opening envelopes. If you get a small pocket steel, you can keep the edges sharp by touching them up regularly. The pocket steel just realligns the edges without removing any metal.

The cut and picker blade (also called the orange peeler) will cut open clamshell packaging very easily, and also peel oranges. Just hook the point on the under side of the tip in the plastic and pull the peeler toward you and it will zip right through the plastic.

The cuticle pusher also serves as a screwdriver, or can be opened to extend the handle when you are using either of the knife blades. scissors,or the orange peeler. It can also be used for light prying.

The nail file comes in handy and the tip of it can also be used on phillips screws that are too big for the
smaller magnetized phillips screwdriver on the bottle opener tip.

The small magnetized phillips screwdriver is great for removing the small phillips screws on doors to battery compartments on handheld electronic devices.

The scissors are great for cutting out coupons or clipping loose threads on clothing.

There is also a small ruler with w screwdriver tip on it.

The Minichamp is so small you don't even know you are carrying it, but it is there when you need it.

I always have my alox MiniChamp in my pocket.
