I had to change manifolds on two Phantom pool cleaners today. Clipped my Swisschamp to my belt loop with an s-biner and it performed admirably, opening a bunch of Phillips-heads. And prying apart the front end of a casing when a wheel didn't want to align and I didn't feel like reopening all the screws...

Today my wife's headlamp needed new batteries. There is a little plastic catch that needed to be gently lifted to open the battery compartment. The nail-file/screwdriver on my Classic SD worked well for that task. tom.  :D

Missus had a frayed thread trying to thread needle on her sewing machine, and I just happened to be there with a SAK to trim the tip (smarty points for me)  :tu:

Thanks, Hevy.

I love my Navy mugs and have a few.  This one will always have a special place because I had a good experience on her with a great CO, good crew plus I retired off her.

Had to use the can opener to take a few screws out of the walls, then the bottle opener to pull a few nails out of the walls,

While out walking the dog the Mrs stepped on bubblegum, and there was nothing around so I had to use the knife to quickly clean the huge wad of gum off, and since the weather is hot it was soft and didn’t make it easy to clean!

I used the sheepsfoot on my Spirit to cut straps on a case of paper at work.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I used the magnifier on my Yeoman to read a medicine vial.

The nurse thought it was so cool that she started asking question, then said she was going to have her husband order her an Explorer.

Used my SwissChamp to fix a 100 foot measuring tape that got jammed up. I got some of the mess fixed using the fish scaler to poke it through. I then used the tiny screwdriver on an el-cheapo I didn't care about to undo the spanner nut on the back to remove the spooling mechanism and crank. Then, I continued to use the fish scaler to undo jams, then finally, pulled the entire 100 feet out.  I then used the pliers to reposition the end of the tape so that the crank/spooling mechanism could be reattached.   Then, went out in the yard; with my grandmother holding the end of the tape, and spooled the whole thing back in under tension.

In the woods today, fixing the spring; with a permanent repair, the guy was trying to use a utility knife to cut 1-inch plastic tubing. Figured that was an accident waiting to happen, I handed him my Outrider to cut the tubing. He was impressed at how quickly its saw went through the pipe.

Then, I went to get the scraper I kept in my truck to scrape some goo (melted candy, I think) off the floor ,and noticed the utility knife I'd bought with it had no blade loaded in it. Turns out, they were secured inside the handle; so I used the can opener and later the bottle opener to take it apart.

Used the Spirits wood saw to cut the tendon for opening the left thumb. Worked like a charm.
Operation will be tomorrow morning

Me, all I did was open a beer and slice up a steak. Alox Bantam for both - there were closer SAKs, but he hasn't had a chance to play in a while.
