Didn’t manage to snap an action picture but I’ve been bringing my electrician model with me every time I walk the dog. Why you ask? Because I have found the awl to be extremely helpful in opening those stubborn plastic doggy poo bags which seem to be glued shut on both ends. Yep that’s me the guy fiddling with the bags out in the cold because he forgot his SAK. Never again will I be without the electrician or some kind of alox model when walking my sweet girl Bella!

Checking fluids on a Renault requires multi-tool, and SAK supervision:

The blades on this box fan were getting pretty funky so I used the minichamp to remove the grill and clean them.

Used the tip of the scaler on my Outdoorsman to scrape off some matted dog hair from the clothes dryer lint trap.

All clean now!

Used my Farmer to trim several bushes and trees in an area behind the barn I was clearing vines from. The area is very steep, and I trimmed every single limb I could trip over down.

I think most people think of the tools literally, like screwdriver for screws, scissors for cutting, wood saw for cutting wood.

So they hear "fish scaler" and think "I don't scale fish - ignore it". The scaler's uses are limited only by your imagination.

That was me in my youth. "My Dad would give me a whooping if I drank when I'm too young to drive. Better to have the Phillips screwdriver!"

Yesterday used the main blade on a Swiss Champ. Could have just torn the plastic wrapping with my bare hands, but why not use a SAK?

Today I tightened a cover on my Lansky sharpening system after I used it to sharpen a kitchen knife

And sure I examined the edge with a magnifying glass

One of those Lansky sharpeners might be just what I need. (I apparently can't sharpen on a conventional whetstone worth a dang.) Glad to see you're still hanging in there, alexanderre!

Thanks actually life is almost normal here in the western part, though it is the worst possible nightmare in the east and south

As for the sharpener - I surely recommend it - two most popular angles, works really well, no need to use and clean any oils, quite portable so you can easily bring it wherever you’d want to. Diamond sharpeners do their job really well without any pressure and using just the knife’s weight - same for the ceramic rods.

Quite frankly I use Victorinox sharpener for all my Vics, but this Lansky is awesome for my Buck 110 or anything else.

I also have another Lansky guided sharpening system - also does well, but needs oil - feels kinda greasy

Being earth day we started cleaning up the yard since it was actually warm out, but there where a few weeds that needed to be cut, some that were uncutable and I needed the saw on the FarmerX which you can see on my hip, the Mrs took a pic let alone a video of me packing down the leafs and twigs in the can to make more room..

I used the magnifier and pin on my Explorer to help remove very tight sutures on my wife's hand (from a tuna can lid).  I used the magnifier to locate the bottom knot.  Then, I slid the pin under it (it was a tight fit).  That allowed clearance to cut the sutures (I didn't use the SAK for that although I could have). Sorry, no pictures.

I carried my Soldier 08 all day in a crazy forest trail... Didn't use it once (been using an Opinel #8, today for food prep and cleaning some plants from my lunch site)... When I arrived the place where I'm staying was about to break open a beer, there was no bottle opener... Soldier 08 saved the day.
