Question about StayGlow Climber

I'm about to order a StayGlow Climber on Amazon and I was wondering if anyone knows if the ones described as just "yellow" are still stayglow or if Victorinox makes a normal yellow version. On Vic's website the climber is also called yellow with no mention of stayglow, so it would lead me to believe the stayglow version has been discontinued and I need to be sure to order one of the models that specifically says stayglow.

Victorinox also makes Yellow scaled knives as well. Victorinox has done both regular yellow and StayGlow yellow handles. Yellow handles, along with solid (rather than translucent) green and blue handles show up more commonly in Europe than in the US.

I looked at the SAKwiki (http://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Climber) and it doesn't show any yellow scale variant, only StayGlow and StayGlow Boy Scout, with model #53388 and #53389, respectively.

Those StayGlow scales might have been peeled off originally from the Climbers.

They were either peeled off Climbers, or purchased separately and used to replace the existing scales.

While Yellow Celledor scales do exist, any new Climber advertised as yellow has better than a 99% change of being StayGlow-Yellow-Nylon; not including vendor CVW which changes scales more often than not.

It's been reported a number of times that the Stay-Glow scales have been discontinued, but there appears to still be a fair bit of stock.  It's not uncommon for item to exist 2-3yrs after production has stopped.
