You are planning on testing the Dime's wire cutters on the chain?  BTW, I suspect it'll fail.

The color really reminds me  of a UHMWPE rope, but then again thats just because of the color and maybe because of the chain sitting next to it.

That's a chest board on a stall front wall.  It allows the horse to put his head out into the aisle way to look around, but he can't stretch out further than mid neck.  The occupant of this stall has been pushing against his board enough to drive the screws out about 80% of the way.  The big problem is the screws are behind the door and it is difficult to get to.

I was able to get my Leatherman Charge bit driver to reach and retighten these while cleaning stalls rather than having to stop and go find a Phillips driver to do it.

To me, this is the strength of the multitool- quick fixes here and there that would be somewhat inconvenient without them.  Maybe they aren't saving a life, but they make life a lot easier at times.

Exactly! :salute:  Even if you don't use one every single day, that doesn't mean carrying it is a waste, as you never know when it will come in handy.  I've grown to feel off or like I'm missing something if I don't have one on me now :multi:

Everyone always looks to me to deal with loose screws, errant threads or opening packages.  It always starts with "Grant, do you have a knife?"  Then they roll their eyes before I can answer and say "Look who I'm asking, of course you have a knife."

:D

Our bookkeeper at work calls me "Knife Boy".  Whenever a package needs to be opened, it's always, "Hey, knife boy, come here!"  You'd think that in a store that has several dozen snap off knives laying around or for sale, someone else would have a blade.   Not that I mind......
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D

Funny you should mention that- I was at Home Depot a while ago and the guy helping me wanted to open the box of whatever it was I was trying to buy to make sure all the parts were there.  I think it was the jack stands I bought, but I'm not sure, not that it matters anyway...

He pulled out his keys to try and cut open the top of the box.  When I asked why he used his keys he said it was because they weren't allowed to carry a pocket knife.  I couldn't believe that, especially not in a place full of tradesmen and sharp objects.   ::)

That kind of reminded me of a friend of mine who works in maintenance at the airport here in Halifax.  Many of the maintenance guys carried SAKs to work until 9/11 when they were no longer allowed to carry them at work.  Since the guys complained that they needed them because of all the quick jobs they do with them the airport bought them all Leatherman Waves to replace the SAKs.  So they replaced a "knife" with a "tool" to make things safer, except that the "tool" has faster opening and larger blades that lock.   ::)  While I don't consider either a weapon, if I had to use one to defend myself it would probably be the Wave.

I know right?  That's logical ::)  I would expect the Wave to be looked at as a weapon moreso than an innocent SAK.  Fools.  Not that I'd be complaining if I was one of the employees  :D

Yeah, a work issue Wave would certainly be a good thing.  It's backwards where I work though- I keep my boss supplied with knives, tools and flashlights, not the other way around!
