Hey ScorpionBTW hate to admit this - but what is "Skinth" ??
Just curious, but why does no one buy more Skinths? They seem pretty awesome to me, albiet pricey. Is that Metro's day job, because the hardcore users aren't very good customers?

Poor materials lead to built in obsolescence. I would say I am elite, but I sure do have a lot of BO tools. (Image removed from quote.)

Metro, you say hardcore users want your sheaths, but I found that hardly anyone has admitted to having even two of them. Do average joes buy them too?Tosh, no, I only have a New Wave, a pocket clip on the way, and a $25 Sheffield multi with wooden scales (no actual name or number). If I had more money I would like a Spirit and TTi, along with a nice knife and yes, a skinth. Unfortunately I am in that state in life where money gets sucked up and lack of it will put one in serous debt (yup, college). Still, I enjoy taking part in the forums here, and will eventually scrape together some funds.

Not sure what the top row of tools is though. They're nothing I have, but I haven't ventured beyond Leatherman and Victorinox.

(Image removed from quote.)The top top row are the various flavors of BO gerber mp600 (eod, needle nose, blunt nose) mp400 and flik. The second from the top is a BO Dutch army issue Vic Spirit and the Leatherman MUT EOD & MUT and a custom black out MUT.
Oh cool, thanks for telling me I would like a BO version of a multitool. Maybe someday. I also do like the looks of the Road Tour Edition Spirit Anyone have one of those?

I also do like the looks of the Road Tour Edition Spirit Anyone have one of those?I just bought one for $60 (STEAL!) off eBay from a veteran. I also, for my birthday, bought myself a military issue BO cap crimper Vic Spirit X (very rare). I like collecting BO tools partially because they are black, but they are also harder to find, so the challenge is greater.

So is ebay where you all track down various SAKs and multitools, especially the rare and no longer in circulation ones?

Is that a BO crunch? Bottom row?? I didn't think they made one???
Not exactly, just getting ready for someone who tells me that anything over one basic multi is a waste of money and absolutely useless. Of course I don't believe this, but finding the balance between money and multis is hard. I just acquired a Wave and would like to get a Spirit eventually, as fit and finish are super important to me. Right now though, I like the leatherman setup better.
Yes, I have more than a few MTs from many different makers. No, it's not worth getting a second job for. Like many here I suspect, I spend a little extra cash when I can afford it but there's no point going into debt over a hobby. Having a "wish list" and looking for bargains when you've saved a little money is all part of the fun IMO.
