Charge TTi new handle design
on: January 08, 2013, 03:38:44 AM
From Leatherman's Facebook:
"We're pleased to announce our newly redesigned Charge TTi. The tool is the same - only the Titanium handle scales have changed, mainly to reduce waste."

Change also reflects their website product page
http://www.leatherman.com/product/Charge_TTi

"The more it stays the same the less it changes"

 I hate the new look. The old one looked stronger and more rugged. Anyone else?

They look terrible.  What is the benefit of making a cosmetic change on a tool design that is already basically 8 years old?

Maybe, I don't know, try putting a REBAR PLIER HEAD IN A TTi!!!!

No, no, we'll just change the TTi's scales and re-release it.  That'll work

Is titanium SO expensive that they're saving significant money by having the letters cut in instead of standing up from the scale?  How much could that really save?  a buck per scale maybe?

I agree, the head should have been swapped for the new style head too.  This looks "bean-counter-ry"

I think it looks great. But then again, anything silver/grey and black looks great to me. My girlfriend swears I don't own any colored clothes. Black, grey, white lol

Ugly! Wasn't buying one before - not buying one now.

However, we do know that someone here will buy one soon and let us know how the ergos compare with the original  :D

You know, perhaps the new style look much different in person than leatherman's pic. The old one sure did.
