[SOLD] sCharger 5 solar charger
on: January 05, 2013, 10:12:09 PM
I had an sCharger 5 on my Amazon Wish list for Christmas... and someone bought it for me.

It's nice, and seems really rugged, and lightweight, and compact, and...

I seriously have no practical use for it. It was originally intended for emergency cell phone charging, but little battery powered units will do that for me. It'd be perfect for an extended hiking trip... which I don't do.

So, I think I'll just sell it. It's brand new, comes with a nylon slip-case, and instructions. It has a USB plug-in jack for plugging in stuff to recharge. It will charge iPhones. I've tested it (on a 3GS). 6 1/2" by 7" when folded closed, and about 1" thick where the charging port sticks up. Weight is about 11oz with case.

Asking $120 paypal or equivalent in trade. Trade items I may be interested in are MTs (preferably SAKs and Leatherman), AA or AAA cell flashlights, and... emmm... whatever?

CONUS shipping included in price.

A product review of this by Solarcycle1 on Youtube.

Solio Bolt, Goal Zero Nomad 7, and the sCharger-5 comparison.

Price reduction to $110. That's about the bottom end I'm willing to go.

Seriously tempted as that would go great on my kayak, but with Christmas right behind us and a new Jeep right ahead of me I just don't have the cash to spend.  Hopefully someone else will snag this and end my temptation!
