This +B thing does nothing new or exciting for me.... of course, we like the Alox in most of it's forms, but I don't get the point of it myself.

I made a basic mod which I called the Carver a few years ago - maybe I should sue him for it >:D
Also, mine actually had tools which were meant for wood butchering.

I think its the batman mod.  Open both blades and grip in the middle for night time crime fighting.

Really though, they've run out configurations to build with standard components, since they arent allowed to put ones on from 91mm SAKS.  What Id recommend to them is to build some metal saw farmers. The metal saw only needs its hole bigger but then fits just right on a normal farmer saw spring.  That is least the mod work to make a custom configuration I can think of.

For this configuration it would totally make sense if one blade was serrated.. but of course people who buy them can do that 'mod' as well.

PM me or email sakmodder [at] gmail . com if you are looking for custom SAK work.

Personally I would have done it a bit more towards a fully symmetrical SAK from both sides, for the collectability of it if not for just actual use:

a) Identical scales front and back (both with the shield), each turned opposite against the other.

b) Two opposing saws (preferrably wood and metal but if not possible two wood ones for perfect symmetry). Or skip the saws completely.

c) Either two awls (opposing the main blades) or two Pruner blades or one Pruner and one Electrician blade.

d) Scales anodized one in red and the other in blue.

Either way this Carver will sure made it as an interesting piece given that is assembled by Victorinox themselves. Hardly can wait to try mine!

That's nice!
They look like Farmers, Harvesters, Pioneers etc.
And the Carver has a Spey blade I've never seen in a SAK before (common in Case knives though).

Yes, nice tool setup, but plastic scales and not as strong build like alox.

The Wenger 1 74 00 has a spey blade and a sheepsfoot blade (classic stockman pattern), and was sold as the Swiss Stock Knife.

My opinion (for what its worth) is that the Wenger Professional series was in some respects their answer to the Victorinox alox series, in that both were designed to make use of the blades from the Official Issue Soldier in a wider variety of knives.

I agree with that. If it had the second blade serrated then i will probably like it.
