THE SCALES ARE COMING! THE SCALES ARE COMING!

Except I being screwed again, they shipped on a thursday and with international overnight, there is no way it'll be here by end of day Friday.

Sigh.

Very minor adjusting of the pivot holes (1/8" round file) and they drop in like their hot!

The new, extended and proud sitting integrated washers needed a little bit of 400 dry sanding but they work very well to smooth out the action of the outside opening tools.



A mini TTi, looks, she does.







The new larger pivot head recesses work great at concealing the screw head.



...and the shifted scissor cut out matches the scissor nail nick perfectly.



I'll post another post about the minor plastic parts and other note able things.

Plastic parts!

I replicated the plastic scissor spacer because I found that you can use the scissors from a LM Style keychain (which also has a stronger back spring). The new spacer is transparent and is a direct replacement.





The tweezer layer I already tweaked before, carving in a slot for a straight pin. The new replacement one has an integrated straight pin slot.

I am prepping the Shapeways store so you can buy the scales direct from them. Even the spacers.

All you need us to get a few used squirts, some pivots and a dremel tool.

In fact, some tasks were impossible if I didn't have a smaller pair of pliers.

E4 (radio shack, for the 3d Phillips)
S4
PS4 OR style PS or keychain

The scales, the tweezer/pin spacer, optional scissor spacer, pivots and a dremel tool for cutting one of the chassis in half for a back spring layer and for adjusting the pivot hole.

I think that's it.

if I already have a dremel, and I'm assuming I can get the scales and spacers once you publish them on shapeways... where can I order the pivots?
