Can you remember what the pivot size was?

Squirt : 1/8"
Short cut: unknown. Slightly bigger

Is this what you were thinking would be too wide?  If the fold out handle parts were half as thick as the middle section is 'seems' like it would work.  But I guess it would end up being a square bar when folded...

So this happened....

Yah, it's ok. I'd still want the other design.

You are a crazy man! And i like it.  :tu:

Would you mind placing it inbetween say a 91 Vic and a Spirit for size reference?

And, OT and only btw: aAny of your mod-fodder squirts with plier head up for sale/trade?

Actually looks like it can be used too! :D

How does it feel in the hand with either the pliers or scissors open?

Not bad. There is a bit of flex since these are just plastic scales but I wouldn't have hesitation if they were steel.

I'll keep my eye open, I only have the parts, no pivots.

I´m not totally sure what model number is what in the Squirt series, but i dare to say yes - I am looking for a small plier based tool for my dad. (I infected him with the MT fever because he  gave me tha SAK bug when i was just 11 or twelve...)

EDIT: Just checked the MTO reviews and am now sure that a P4 would be good!

The Splash Final Set
Reply #353 on: March 29, 2013, 04:43:20 PM
Ahh yes...the culmination of months of fiddling, tweaking and work. The Splash Swim Team is here.

Left to right, the Orignal Splash, Papercut Splash and Diode Splash.

Nothing has changed much from the Original Splash. Knife, 2D Phillips, 3D Phillips, Flat Driver, Bottle Opener, Awl, nail file, scissors, eyeglass driver, tweezers, straight pin and pliers. The only difference is the addition of the branded SPLASH and MQB scales.

For the PaperCut Splash, I decided to change up the load out a bit, honing more of a 'cutting' type tool. So all my esoteric custom blades went into it. The Warney blade, SE blade, tweezers, eyeglass driver, 2D phillips, awl, file (for metal cutting) nail file and of course, the Scissors.

The Diode Splash, being an electronics tool, I again tailored the tool lay out, thinking "what would I need to take apart a toy?". The wirestripper head, 2 different sized flat bit drivers, eyeglass driver, 2 and 3d Phillips, nail file/scrapper, scissors and blade.

A Diode, besides being a fitting name for the tool, speaks to another feature. TRITIUM!
Red and white represent the positive and negative. The blue trits broke in transit so I wasn't able to install them on the Original Splash, but I'll get replacements eventually.

This will conclude most of the mod work on the Splash. I am not done with the Squirt platform, its simply too much fun to mod and ultimately, very useful because of their size!

That last trit image is better than the first one. When I saw the first one, I thought it was a 'teaser shot' for things to come.
